How much weight can it take?

maximum supported weight should not be a concern as long as you intend to use it for a headset. The rubber part on top bends to conform to the headset but it's fairly firm. The rod is metal, probably aluminum, the base is firm high quality plastic. I have a large Hyper X Cloud II headset weighing 350 grams (reasonably hefty for a headset) and it goes fine on this stand.

I currently have & use the rig 800lx that are 10.2 ounces. would this stand be good for those headsets?

I am not familiar with your particular headset, but weight is not an issue. The vertical trunk of the stand it metal and can easily hold the weight. I am assuming the headset is over the head with two ear pieces. I have my Bose head sets on the stand.
