A good basic full color book on numerous fitness exercises whether or not you are into the martial arts.
I have always been interested in martial art and fitness books. I recently purchased this large size soft cover 245 page book (Fitness for Full-Contact Fighters: Training for Muay Thai, Karate, kickboxing and Taekwondo by Christoph Delp) for a bargain price on Amazon. If you are seeking information on the actual techniques of these martial arts you will not find it in this book; however, if you desire to get in top shape physically, whether or not you are into full contact sports, you might want to check out this book. This full color photograph book is organized into five parts. Part one covers the basic principles of fitness. The second part emphasizes flexibility training exercises. The third part focuses on stamina training exercises. The fourth part shows power training exercises and the final section explains various training programs you can follow. There are a total of 25 chapters in this volume. This book focuses on total fitness with a big emphasis on flexibility exercises. The photographs are in color and clearly show the numerous exercises. If you are seeking a slick beautifully illustrated book on total fitness whether or not you are involved in a martial art this book is for you.Rating: 4 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Training Alone in Combatives).

Could be better with more focus on marial arts training vs. basic fitness info.
Some very basic fitness information, throughout. Wish the focus of the text had stayed on martial arts training. Was somewhat disappointed with the book.

Only basic knowledge on both fitness and stretching
Purchased this book from other book store. I also have a quick reading to finish the book, found out only basic knowledge on both fitness and stretching. Pictures attached are helpful. I only refer to remind me on certain muscle group to both train up and stretching.

Nice pictures and dissapointing contents
I read this book very fast, the reason was that the ideas and contents of the book were so basic and to be honest, nothing interesting for me. I was looking for advanced tips and contents which I couldn`t find them in the book. Howver, It `s a nice reference book for your library.

I would like more information on stamina training because given exercises are ...
Quite widely range of an exercises how to develop power and flexibility. I would like more information on stamina training because given exercises are overall and from my point of view do not give full view on opportunities to develop stamina especially for particular competitions with different rules. Very good illustrated.
