Yes it does have a bit rubber smell but by the time it goes less. I use it for my neck and shoulder pain .Have it warm over the night.

Good But..
It has a very bad smell, a strong rubbery smell, just take off the fur cover wash it and keep the rubber piece outside for few days, it'll go away, but no direct sunlight
