A good, slick shaving soap. Worth it.
Lathers really well. Smells good. What more do you want in a shave soap. Tallow based - NB all you vegetarians! But a good, slick shaving soap. Worth it.

Great scent, great lather, great soap!
With a name like Ghost Town Barber and the great masculine smell of this shaving soap, I find myself squinting like Clint Eastwood in the barbershop scene from “High Plains Drifter” and balefully staring myself down in the mirror each morning as I spread the lather on my face. Seriously, it’s good stuff. The scent ticks off the usual boxes of a clean “barbershop” fragrance, but then adds some leather and a bit of smokiness to the mix just to make it interesting. The soap is pretty soft, so it loads easily into a damp shaving brush without having to first add water to the soap container for it to “bloom.” Once the brush is loaded, it takes less than 20 seconds of swirling in a bowl or mug for it to explode into enough thick, creamy, manly-smelling goodness for 3 passes with the razor and the much sought-after BBS (i.e. Baby’s Butt Smooth) shave. I’m thoroughly impressed with this shaving soap, and look forward to trying some of the other scents from Chiseled Face.

Good soap, great scent
There are better quality artisan shave soaps out there but they are generally more expensive and this one has such a great scent. It’s one part barbershop (clean, powdery, slightly floral) and one part leather/tobacco. The result is a clean masculine scent. Good skin protection too - not the best artisan shave soap I’ve ever tried, but good enough that I’ll keep ordering this when I want to enjoy the scent.

LOVE IT
Very well done in the formulation! I have used several shaving soaps before. Usually they are too thin for my liking and it feels as though I'm shaving without shaving soap. This brand delivers with the right consistency of tallow for me! I will use them EXCLUSIVELY from now on. Not only is it a great formulation but they also hit home with the smells, I love ghost town barber and summer storm. Summer storm smells like "that moment before it rains" if you know you know

Ghost town - love it
Great soap, smells like old leather and almost a cigarette smell. The soap itself is good quality and perfect for a shave, lathers great. It's excellent

This is the best smelling soap I have tried yet.
This is one of the best shaving soaps you can buy. I had the Sherlock soap before this, but prefer the scent of this one. Either way it's a great shave with Chiseled Face soaps. I'm even considering getting the new bar soap he offers because I like this Ghost Town scent so much. It is my favorite scent across all the soaps/aftershaves I've tried. Here's a ranking of the soaps/scents from Chiseled face I've tried and my basic explanation of what they smell like since I'm not the best smeller in the world. 1. Ghost Town Barber - Nice, clean, old timey man smell. What I imagine a sophisticated rich man in the 1800's smelled like. 2. Sherlock - Nice and softly spicy with a hint of leather. Sherlock was the perfect name for this, smells like I imagine the Queen's library would. 3. Trade Winds - I would want my beach house to smell like this, if I had one.. Kind of smells like hospital soap, but much much nicer. 4. Cedar & Spice - Smells like you dipped your face in spice and then toppled a cedar tree with your chin. Very strong smell while shaving, but mostly disappeared before I got to work - 30mins. 5. Midnight Stag - It might just be me, but this scent is powerful. It's not for the buck with small antlers, this is for the alpha stag. If Ghost Town Barber is a sophisticated rich man from the 1800's, this scent is the 1800's woodsman who spent years away from civilization fighting bears. Pure manly man smell. Theodore Roosevelt probably smelled like this. All in all, I would buy any of those soaps. The last 2 are more situational for me because I like softer scents, but they're still great smelling and amazing performance soaps.

Wonderful scent
I really love Chiseled Face shave soaps; they’re great performers. Lots of glide and very slick. But this scent, just wow. It’s fantastic. Totally unique, nothing else out there like it. Smoky, gun powder-y, intoxicating. Love it!

Long lasting, smooth shave, smells great
I'm still using the same puck from when I first ordered it. I shave every day, with the exception of weekends, being in the military. It's been great shave soap no matter the environment. Water type definitely affects the lather, but that's standard for all. Highly recommend and I'll be buying another!
