Excellent for illuminating poorly lit areas.
Item was delivered on time and undamaged. I needed a brighter than average light bulb to illuminate a staircase as we were decorating and the area had very little natural light. Now with the bulb in place it illuminates all corners. Light is very bright and looks good.

Good bright light
I need a bulb with good clean light and even distribution thanks to the plastic diffuser, which is a issue with cluster LEDs and fluorescents. The base still casts a shadow, but only in the immediate vicinity so still looking for a high output bulb with a slimmer base/heatsink and diffusers that extends beyond it.I wouldn't say this is 400watt/4000lumen equivalent. I'd say its real world brightness is about 3000lumens. Still bright enough though.Lifespan unknown, but it's managed about 200hours so far

Get sunglasses ready
This is a brilliant bright light and fits in standard socket. I am not aware of much unwanted heat .Bought for the utility room where ironing and sewing happens.

VERY bright, much brighter than regular LED bulbs
These bulbs are as advertised, VERY bright, they give of a clean, bright white light that is much brighter than any of the typical LED bulbs. The only thing is that the box states that you can not put it in a shade. If you are using it in a garage that won't be an issue, but I wanted to use it in a room that was quite large, so it looks a little ugly, but it does the job.The first one I received appeared to be used, with part of the box ripped off and missing and a seal cut open, so that was returned.
