Philips PerfectCare Steam Iron - 2500W, Auto-Off, 45g/min Continuous Steam, OptimalTEMP Technology, Blue/Black - GC3920/26

This is the first time I am this impressed or excited about an iron, really. Bought this on Amazon's Prime Day after seeing it on the apps home page and going through a multitude of reviews and opinions. Was nervously excited to have it delivered. The delivery was done at the same day, with the package very neatly handled. Opened this up, filled it with water, did a little bit of calcium cleaning through the Calc Clean function, and started ironing. I must say that ironing for me has never been this fun or flawless; this iron is literally the definition of plug-and-play! Once it's done with the initial heat-up, you're ready to iron practically anything without touching a button. I tried it with shirts, t-shirts, hoodies, jackets (of both the waterproof and normal types), wooly items, dresses, Abayas, Kandoras, and more, and I can assure you that it irons them perfectly and conveniently. The iron smartly chooses the perfect temperature automatically, and, thanks to the well-engineered plate, disperses the heat properly and makes sure that every crease is just gone. It's also intelligent enough to know when you're laying it flat or leaving it unattended, making sure that it does not burn your clothing whatsoever, and automatically shuts down when you're leaving it for too long. As someone coming from cheap Russell Hobbs and First 1 irons, I was always enraged at how those irons kept dripping water when ironing. This does not do that whatsoever! I even tried tilting it and shaking the water a couple of times, and not a single drip came out. Coming from such terrible experiences, the technology that prevents the iron from dripping on the clothing is very relieving. The steam function is great, too, and it can blow steam vertically, granted that half of the water reservoir or more is filled. Do note that if you keep on pressing the steam button way too often, it may start dripping hot water, especially if the steam is done vertically. This is to be expected. Just use it intermittently and all will be good. Overall, this iron is honestly marvelous. The fact that I don't even have to think about setting the temperature is amazing. I can just plug it in and start ironing any type of garments, and it will do the job amazingly. If you're coming from standard irons, it would be just as relieving and convenient, too. I absolutely recommend it!

The best iron box I ever used. This iron box changed all basic concepts of using iron box. So easy to use, no knobs to turn, no temperature to be set, no need to worry thinking if “I SWITCHED OFF OR NOT”, 100% satisfied and highly recommend this to others.

Really good.. No more torn clothes due to the iron.. Also has a nice steam feature.. No temperature controls.. Next level iron.

it leaks, the steam is uncontrollable, but the automatic temperature setting is good
