Simply Good For You: 100 quick and easy recipes, bursting with goodness : Freer, Amelia: desertcart.ae: Books Review: I have so enjoyed leafing through this new recipe book. It is filled with simple, tasty, non-challenging recipes that look and sound incredibly appealing. The concept is incredibly simple, but that's the whole point! There are very few blocking factors to the recipes; it feels very doable. I've made a few of the soups already, and it's great to have some new ideas of baked dishes as well as the seasonal suggestions for salads (what a great idea!). This book is also encouraging my children to join me in cooking too, which is great. They are able to scan the different options in the book with ease and quickly choose what we can make next (the peanut butter cookies were a winner, but they have also enjoyed making the fish cakes and chicken burgers). I'd recommend this book to anyone who needs to keep cooking and shopping lists simple, yet wants to eat healthy, fresh, delicious food. Review: This is my first desertcart review, despite the fact I have been buying on here for years, but I really feel like Amelia and everyone else needs to know how amazing her most recent cookbook is. My mother lost a bunch of weight when Amelia had her food service business in London years ago and my mum and I have been looking for similar, great tasting food that is healthy, ever since. I have bought her previous books but barely made anything and the food felt more healthy than delicious. This book is perfect and the day it arrived we tagged almost every recipe to make. I especially love this one soup recipe that uses mostly things from your pantry meaning that when we get home late from a trip and have no groceries at home - we are no longer ordering pizza but making this soup. Thank you so much Amelia and I hope everyone loves this book as much as we do!

I am not really a writer of reviews but this book is superb. I’ve looked at Amelia’s other books before and despite liking her philosophy as far as food, cooking and healthy eating are concerned, her recipes haven’t really appealed. In this book, there are very few recipes that I don’t want to try, and I had a challenge deciding what to make first. Everything I’ve tried so far has been delicious and super-easy, with short lists of ingredients that are easy to get hold of. I’m not vegan or vegetarian but I like the fact that the book includes vegan and vegetarian recipes as well as options to swap ingredients to make recipes suitable for various different diets including vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free. If you’re looking for tasty, healthy, easy and flexible recipes, you can’t go far wrong with this book!

I've loved all Amelia's other books, so I was excited about this new one. However i felt she had 'dumbed down' here to try to appeal to a wider, less health conscious audience. I fully appreciate she had a baby in the interim between her cookbooks so a lot of her recipes are quick and easy, but unfortunately i felt they lacked thought and were not exciting or enticing enough to want to cook. IT's probably a good book for new or busy mums who would like to be healthier but don't want to be too 'out there'. There was a lot of 'dolloping' things with yoghurt too - but that's not helpful if you don't eat dairy!!
