Did not work well as expected
To be fair product design was slick main reason I’m convince to bought the item however it did not work well as expected. For Macbook Pro 2017 model, I lost my wifi connection after connecting both external monitors through the HDMI ports. In addition increase of the device temperature was also observed after charger was connected. I have decided to return the item and change for another USB C Hub model.

Perfect product...but
This is an excellent item. I researched for ages and even asked a question from other buyers here before purchasing. I loved how it matched my gold MacBook Air 2020 exactly and for the various extension ports I need. However, it was with a heavy heart that I had to return it 😔. The main reason is because it sits flush against the Mac this means I had to remove the outer protective hard case leaving my expensive Mac vulnerable to scratches/damages. I have looked into alternatives (decal skins) but is an extra cost of £35+. So for aesthetics I would be paying £70+ (includes price of this item). The other reason was, it was getting too hot, therefore, I was attaching/detaching to allow for cooling. I can see an accidental breakage in the future! So if you don’t mind any of that, you will be pleased with it. It’s got a good chunky feel. I will continue to search for an alternative design but the same colour. Right now that’s near on impossible.

Everything you need in one clever bit of kit
Apple have annoyed a huge number of people with their policy of only providing just to two USB C ports on their new range of MacBooks. This clever little device/interface addresses that problem and gives you the variety of ports that used to be available and a few more in addition. Connection is simple but don't leave it in all the time as I suspect that in certain circumstances, the sockets will be damaged if the interface is knocked or twisted. It's still very annoying that, having spent a small fortune on buying a MacBook Air you have to then spend and extra £40 or more to make up for the shortcomings of a flawed design decision on Apple's part.

Not great - HDMI problems
I've been using this for a little while and the USB, power and ethernet ports are working fine so far but there's a real problem with the HDMI in that it blanks the screen frequently, sometime randomly but usually after the mac has been woken from sleep. It sometimes comes back on after a few seconds but otherwise the only way to temporarily resolve it is to unplug the hub and plug it back in again.I'm still using it for power, ethernet and USB and I bought a separate HDMI adapter to plug in on the other side of the laptop, which works fine. Obviously I can't recommend this hub.

Unreliable
Used with MacBook Air M1 & LG Ultra HD monitor. Over the course of 1 week proved unreliable so returned. Ethernet would drop out where no IP address could be assigned , checked this was not the hub as wifi still active and other devices ok. HDMI on external monitor was also a problem, when laptop woke from sleep picture was sometimes corrupted or lost completely, device had to be unplugged and plugged in again to reset.

Weirdly hot
This accessory works well enough, and has a good selection of ports. It fits the 2020 MacBook Air very well, although not quite perfectly, and the colour doesn't quite match the space grey Mac. The heat is very worrying, though - the MBA runs for hours and hours without getting even warm, but this hub is hot to the touch within minutes.
