The pieces were well machined. And fit perfectly they put warning that flame norb might not work good but I had not problems at all. Very good craftmanship . would recommend the equipment

Nice torch setup. I couldn't use my old torch as I'd have to hold the food vertical while I seared it due to the fact that you can't tilt the torch past a few degrees. This torch comes with the right diffuser for teh flame and I can leave the food horizontal on the grill while I sear it. Adjustment valve looks a bit fragile, hence teh one star deduction on durability. Otherwise, perfect for my needs. Recommended.

So, the seller contacted me and said that many of the torches with the blue knob had a problem with the knob breaking. Sure enough, the first use, the knob cracked and would not shut the torch off. It does have another valve that will do this so it's not a danger. The seller offers to replace the product or refund your money if this happens.My husband replaced the knob for me, I needed the torch. Here is why the 4 star rating: if the seller knows about the defect, why send it out? Why not fix the problem, than send? wouldn't this be more convenient for both parties?Other than this issue, I've not had a problem, everything seems to work as it should.

yeah the blue knob was broke right out of the box but after looking at it i decided too suoer glue it back on after three days of letting it alone it works

This worked great up until this past week. In fact I used it just 3 days before and no problem. This time it just didn't have the hiss when I opened the valve. I tried to light it anyway and it took a few tries and when it did light it was barely a flame. I tried turning it up but no change. It was blown out by a slight breeze!. I checked the tank and everything was fine, plenty of fuel, worked fine for the grill. I tried it again and again nothing, checked both valves tried open and closing them both. Nothing!

Great substitute for a reverse sear on steaks. Much less expensive than buying a propane tank chef searing head which run upwards of $300.Plus it has many alternative uses. Having a hose instead of having to hold the whole canister plus the head is much less fatiguing on the hand and forearm especially if you area searing multiple steaks.

I purchased this to scorch wood. I make BBQ chopping boards and some people like the scorched/burnt look. When using a regular torch it would heat up too much in one spot. Sometimes warping the wood. Since I purchased this i have had no warpage using the wide tip. It heats more uniform and looks much better. And it also saves time.
