Ambient mode,sound quality,bass,vocal, highs is top notch. If you compare them you will see the difference. Highly recommend them. Comfort is good to me,build quality very good. I dont know why these cans is not in top 5 headphones probably people like only brand names like sony or bose senheizer. But i love them 100 % yamaha made good job with sound signature. Buy them and enjoy satifaction 110%

This Yamaha headphones really sounds amazing and natural. They have very good sound stage due to larger and spacious earcups. Unfortunately, i had to make sad decision and returned them after couple of days of trying them. I really love how loud they are, and sound is amazing for the price you pay. I'm not bass head and I don't like too much bass, these headphones have too much bass for me. Most music sounds amazing but when something harder on bass hits my ears it's too much for me and I had to lower the volume or skip to next song. If you like modern heavy hip-hop, rnb. techno etc music and loud base then this would be perfect headphone. But not for my taste sadly. I would say give it a try to these headphones. One more reason why I have returned them is that there is no EQ in the app where I could lower the base. They are comfy to wear.

I was sent a pair with one of the hinges broken. I decided to send those back, but I got another pair because the sound quality was so good. I did have the Sony XM4 but I gave it away. The XM4 is an excellent pair of headphones, but these Yamahas are better for sound quality. Comfort and noise cancelling are good. Buy with confidence.

I like the look and reviews of these headphones but couldn't warrant the big price tag so went for a used- like new option for a fraction of the price and my worries were not needed. Arrived in excellent condition. Now I have a Marantz integrated amplifier with Yamaha bookshelf speakers and subwoofer and very happy with this setup, so I know what Yamaha was capable of and wanted a decent pair of cans to go with this setup and had to go with Yamaha YH-E700A's, which I have connected from a Topping L 30 II headphone amplifier via a MIi DS200 pro Bluetooth transmitter and first initial listenings and I'm blown away first time a felt a subwoofer in my headphones and it's like I've my Hi Fi setup in my head. now have read reviews of people not liking this but I really like it as it compliments my Marantz set-up really nicely.

Great sounding headphones, comfortable with ANC to compete with Sony XM4's. Very basic controls but sometimes less is more...Review update, great sound but Noise cancelling pulsing sounds constantly in left side, so unfortunately returning them as it's too annoying.

Great headphones, comfortable, good sound, noise cancellation really works. I love the ability to turn on ambient sounds so I can clearly hear what people are saying, if I need to.
