iOgrapher Wide Angle Lens 37mm Attaches to Any Filmmaking Case or 37mm Mount for High Definition Video Recording - Includes Macro Lens

I received this lens for my casual personal casual photography and videography using my iPhone Xs Max. I am surprised it has gone 10 up over my expectations. I fully recommend this to everyone who is trying to do more with just plain shooting with the iPhone. Obviously it will drop a bit of the picture quality versus any prime lens SLRs or straight off digital cameras, but that's OK since I am only using it to endorse events surrounding me more. In fact, after experimenting it, I will step up and get the their filmmaking case too so that I can use it with my iPad Mini, particularly now that the Mini 5 is a powerful machine now.

The price point was great. The packaging is simple. I have two iographers. One is a mini and one is the 10.5 pro. The mini already has threading for the placement of the 37mm. Fit fine and works nicely. When I put it on my 10.5 iographer, I had to use the lens clip. At first I was irritated. When recording, it looked like vignettes were present. Ugh! Fortunately, during playback, it was clear. Yay! I used it for the first time during practice. I was presently surprised. Easy to use, wide angle of the floor, and clear. Way to go! First tournament this weekend, so I'll really be able to put it to the test.

I bought this lens to use with the small rig tripod case for videoing my daughters’ basketball games. The lens is clear and allows much more area to be filmed as opposed to just using my iPhone camera alone. There’s no fish eye appearance or vignette around the video and with the small rig case the lens fits perfectly over the phone camera lens. I have tried many different types of cameras/lens and this is the best I’ve found so far.

I got this for vb videos and it's great fits in the whole court.

Threaded this on to my sony video camera and shot a basketball game.While shooting I was able to see that the view was out of focus when it got close to full zoom in.After downloading my video, it was also out of focus on all videos on the left and right side where the lens should have extended my view beyond what the camera did.Not sure if this lens was defective in some way or just didn't work with my vid camera, but it was a bust for me.
