Does anyone know the actual pack weight, both with all and without the stuff-sack tent pegs?

The tarp, guy lines and sack total 2.12 lbs, or 33.9 oz. Tent pegs were not included.

About being waterproof. Waterproof as "heavy rainforest rain"? or , waterproof as "water mist spray"? (by my exp it seems rated for water mist)

I’ve used it during a heavy FL thunderstorm, the winds were extremely strong and occasionally a stake would be pulled out of the ground from the gusts, but the waterproofing performed very well. It is very waterproof in my experience so far. We’ve used it in medium to heavy rain about 9 or 10 times and we’ve stayed dry every time. Only drawback is that the tarp is heavy to backpack due to its sheer size.

I am curious how this tarp compares to the kelty noah's tarp, or the chill gorilla, particularly how sturdily the grommets and loops are stitched?

its actually really durable, i've use both noah's tarp and the msr thunderridge and this out performs both, easily twice as tough as a noah's tarp and a bit sturdier than thunderridge. this is just really overbuilt and stupid heavy, like its easy 2 lb 4 oz, compared to kelty and msr which are 1lb easy.
