Natural Instincts Demi-Permanent Hair Dye, 2 Black Hair Color, Pack of 1

I've used boxed dye on my hair for decades and recently decided to go from black to dark brown back to auburn. It's going to take a while for the black to grow out, but this dye hits the roots and gives a nice reddish sheen over the black. I don't wash my hair too often, only about once a week because it is thin and dry, so I've never had a problem with this washing out before the next application. I also alternate this with a permanent dark burgundy. One box is enough for a short style - more than a pixie but not quite chin length twice. I just weigh out half the bottle and half of the cream, mix them in an old bottle and apply.

I love this colour. Naturally I have dark brown hair but my eyebrows are black. This matches my brows nicely and looks natural. My hair still feels soft after using it once dried. It doesn't feel stringy while washing either. It does bleed a lot the first few washes though so make sure to use a dark towel. I have used this colour two times now. The colour lasts a long time.

Wow wow wow !! J’avais les cheveux bleacher et j’avais fais une teinture mauve foncé , j’arrivais plus à faire partir le restant de mauve alors j’ai essayé cette teinture. Le résultat est incroyable !! Reste à voir la tenue mais je suis stupéfaite! Doux pour les cheveux aussi le conditionneur qui vient avec est formidable ! Je vais mettre une photo avant et une après.

I had to rinse my hair 30 times. I figured okay fine I’ll just take a shower too. The water continued being red so I shampooed. I’m in there for a solid 30 mins. The water continues to look like I made a blood bath. Anyways fast forward I give up. I asked my boyfriend to rinse my hair cus I got lazy. I dunked and soaked and massaged my scalp 10 times. The water stillll red. So again I shampooed and the water finally started looking clear. Also btw my hair was platinum and I dyed it this red thinking it may look a bit lighter in the images. I was wrong it was just as dark as the box said it would be.

I’m not one for writing reviews but always rely on the reviews of others when I’m doing research on a product or service 😂 This time I just had to review this product! Background on me, I am an African American female in her 40’s and have natural hair that’s about half way down my back. I use heat no more than once a year and only use a wide tooth comb on bith mine and my daughter’s hair. So, I am very particular about my hair 😊 I was so afraid to color my hair on my own, but did research and decided to try this in black. I had previously had my hair colored about 5 months ago with permanent color and the individual was so super rough with my hair that I didn’t want to even let her touch up my color. Let me tell you, this product covered EVERY SINGLE GREY HAIR! And, I heard the temple area is the hardest to color. My hair was so soft and I have lots of hair and only used one box, but I would still order two just in case. I only touched up my edges in the front temple area and along where I wear my part. I’m so serious and I’m not paid at all for this review. Please give this a try. I did follow the directions verbatim except I shampooed my hair the same day. I rinsed the color out with slightly cool water in the shower and once the water ran clear, I commenced to shampoo with Shea Moisture for kids carrot and mango shampoo, which I’ve used for several years now on mine and my daughter’s hair and we both love it. I used the conditioner that came with the color also to deep condition my hair and used my normal TGIN Green Tea leave in as my styler along with Shea Moisture curl foam and flaxseed Eco styler gel. I also had no allergic reactions and I have very sensitive skin. I did not do a allergy test prior to using the color, though I would recommend doing that. Basically, this color is amazing, it didn’t blend the greys, they are completely gone.
