Awesome heatsink
Northbridge Intel G41 of this Asus socket 775 MB was hotter than any other component in the computer and that worried me. It's an Core 2 Quad that must support my hobbies and studies for 2 years more, so I invested in this heatsink. Install is a bit tricky to my yes and fingers, but with some tools and patience, I managed to install it. And man, it cools the thing down, incredible, I'm very happy.

Nice cooler.
Decent cooler for north-bridge

Great for over clocking!
I mounted it and it’s to big because it’s in the way of my graphics card but if you have a shorter graphics card it would work.

Used it to mod my raid card.
I bought this for my Areca 1223 raid card. The stock HSF was small and loud as s***. I was able to mount this onto the RAID card with some longer screws. It took my raid card from 60c down to 40c on load. I also put a Noctua 80mm fan on it and now my server makes no noise.

While I love the idea of this cooler and if I could ...
This thing is BIG! It comes with mounting hardware to mount it on any motherboard I have ever seen but because of it's size it wont mount on very many. If you do have a motherboard it will mount on then it's worth it! While I love the idea of this cooler and if I could I would put it on every computer I build, the reality is that it just won't fit in a large majority of builds. A major source of incompatibility being full size video cards and processor coolers. If there were a cooler similar to this but about half the size then I would be all for it!

Fits on GA-78LMT-USB3
Used this to cool my GIGABYTE GA-78LMT-USB3 North Bridge.I have an AMD FX_8320 OC'd to 4.2 & kept crashing during intensive applications like HandBrake. I suspected it was the board since CPU temp logs showed the CPU never went over 54c. This device has dropped my NB from running in the 90+ stock, to mid to high 50s with the fan and 68-74c without fan.Installation was a bit tricky but if you're getting this you probably know what you're getting into. All in all a great item for the price. Too bad it's been discontinued.
