I got a great deal on a 100m roll of fiber with old ST style barrel connectors, but my media converters use the newer LC style connectors. I'm not a fiber expert so I wan't sure what kind of adapter I needed to adapt my fiber to my newer LC media converters -- were my cable ends male or female? I'm not exactly sure, ST is a kind of twist lock barrel connector not an extension cord 😂 I chose this product because it has the male and female adapter, so I knew it would work either way. When it arrived it was a perfect fit! As a Vine reviewer I initially got this item for a reduced price in exchange for this review. It was exactly what I was looking for and high quality, so I paid it the ultimate "Vine reviewer compliment" and bought another one at full price. This is a perfect adapter cable if you have the same setup as I do.

Worked great

I like this product because I use the AJA fido that has a duel LC output and I need some very long fiber runs. I had a very hard time finding long LC fiber cable but I have plenty of ST and ST is easy to find. So I just plug these into the transmitter and the other to the receiver and I can use all of my ST cables. Great.

This was exactly what I needed for about the same price as retipping the fiber optic cable, but without all the hassle.

This is a high quality adapter, both sets of connectors feel great
