Q: How transparent does this turn out?

I was surprised at how clear it is. I mean, obviously it is not nearly as clear as a pane of glass, but looking through the bottom layers (usually the clearest), I can very clearly see the infill pattern.

Q: Is the pantone designation identified for this color?

No, you need to go for better filaments for more consistent and rateable color tones

Q: Can these be used as palette knives for painting?

Unfortunately I know absolutely nothing about painting. These tools are used for prying pieces off older 3D printers and also cleaning the very hot extruder nozzle. They are certainly not a “quality” item but the knives are fixed to the handle solidly and the steel is flexible on the longer one if that is something you were looking for in painting.

Q: how much does this weigh with and without the spool?

I believe the filament is 2.2 pounds plus the spool weight. I don't have an empty spool to weigh. Sorry.
