I get 1/3 the capacity even on a cloudy day!
On a cloudy day I still get over 100 watts of charging from this 400 watt system, anywhere from 127 to 160 watts, yes, even on a cloudy day. No one told me that would happen! Works well, except it shows the temperature as 77 degrees all of the time. It would be nice if it would not try to charge my lithium 100 Ah batteries when it is too cold out. Works well otherwise. People say your dead when the sun doesn't shine - not true! I installed these flat on my cargo trailer roof (not even angled to the sun) and this is very adequate to charge and run my tools. Charging one M18 battery takes 45 watts, so I can charge up 2 at a time easy peasy without even draining the 100 Ah main batteries even on a cloudy day! I have the 3000 watt Renogy inverter with this, and can run my air compressor for an hour off those. I should get another 100 Ah battery, as the two struggle to start the compressor, but anyway, on a sunny day it charges those 2 100 Ah lithium batteries from 11V right back up to 14V after using my air compressor for a while. I've run my shop vac, 6 inch finish orbital sander, LED lights, etc. for as long as I've needed to no problem. In a camper, along with 3 100 Ah batteries, this might even keep you in electric hot water. I haven't tried that, not yet, but if you made toast and a pot of coffee in the morning, this would charge your main batteries back up even on a cloudy day!

Love them, mostly
Once I got over the fear of setting them up, which was a lot easier than expected, they are working great. My number one complaint is that during the night, the charge controller does NOT prevent power from the battery from feeding back to the panels resulting in losing some of your battery charge. Took some reading to find out where my power was going but that was the culprit. Maybe there’s a scientific reason there is not a backflow preventer there but it seems to me that any power harvested should be power saved.

BT-2 bluetooth
Have owned Renogy solar panels for a very long time. Got a new set for cabin in May 24, installed Dec 24. Works great. The BT-2 was in this kit tried every app for the bluetooth... no joy... all apps are POS. Now I have a BT-2 paperweight. Ya'll can keep it. Will look for a different company for solar panels.

Way easier to install than expected
I've watched a lot of videos about adding solar power to my motorhome and they all say it is pretty straight forward, yet I was still a bit overwhelmed. Started the install yesterday, took about 4 hours total from walking out the door, to looking at the app showing the batteries were being charged. Excellent system that comes with everything except a disconnect switch, which I didn't bother to install this time around, but it will be easy to install later. Great package deal, worth every penny.

I would chose a different brand if I had to do it again.
What I likedThe panels were easy to install. I was able to I stall them while camping. I used the drill method so I did use plenty of the dicor lap sealant to seal up the holes. The panels themselves seem pretty sturdy. What I didn't like with the kit.I made a terrible assumption that this kit had everything I needed. This coupled with installing it while camping made for a mess. You will likely need additional mc4 extension cables if you get 4 panels. You will not be able to hook up all of them unless you can orient your panels in one specific way. This meant that I operated on only 2 of the 4 panels that were installed. I essentially missed out on half my power because of a $10 cable that I would have happily paid for.I cannot blame Renogy for the pwm controller. I needed to have done better research before hitting the buy button. You will likely want a mppt controller instead of the pwm if you need to maximize your power generation. I discovered this after the kit arrived so I ended up buying their mppt controller and have a pwm just sitting. I think a little more guidance in their description would have been helpful.I didn't have any problems connecting the Bluetooth app but I do have some grievances. It does disconnect but doesn't give you an indication that it has disconnected. This can lead to you thinking you have more battery power than you actually have because it might display old data. This led to me randomly killing the app and reconnecting whenever I was suspicious. Everytime I reconnect I have to go into the app and tell it that I have a lithium battery. It always resets to flooded. I think this changes the charging profile and makes it less efficient for my battery. This raises a concern for me. If the mppt is not resetting when ot disconnects why is that setting changing just because the app disconnected? The app also doesn't autoconnect. It would be better if the system on launch attempted to reconnect to its known devices or the last device it connected to.I don't quite agree that the Bluetooth app is useless. It is certainly frustrating but I would still want to have it to know the state of solar charging. I thought I would go without the battery monitor since the bt-module provides some information. It is not accurate enough for my needs and I found it unreliable. I ended up draining the battery enough for it to go into protection mode. This also meant that i had to run out and buy a lithium aware battery charger to charge it enough to get it out of protection mode so that I can use my generator to charge it. Purchasing that took about 2 hours since the closest place was 2 towns away from Banff. The mppt charger has the ability to take out of protection mode but since I was in a shaded area and only running on half my solar power....I have ordered the smart battery module since I did also buy a renogy lifepo battery.Overall it seems they make a good panel but if I were doing it over again, I would probably chose a different vendor for the rest of the components.Leaving the following in parentheses more as a warning. They do have a learn section which i missed. It is good. (Renogy, if you read this, I think it would be worth your time to put together some tutorials on your site.) I deleted my comment on their customer service because I did not have a big interaction with them. I had a pre-sales interaction where they provided very little information compared with the other vendor I reached out to. I ended up chosing Renogy because the other vendor was more distributor centric than customer centric.

Solar Freedom
We purchased this system for our 5th wheel set up. We didn't want to have to run our generator, burning fuel and disturbing others. Our goal is to get experience and knowledge with solar while we build our house (will be living off-grid). This system is easy to install and hook up. I've read other reviews where people are complaining about no directions. We live in an age of relentless technology....go to youtube like we did. We found videos directly from the manufacturer on assembly. Once we watched that 5min piece it was easy sailing. We didn't install it on the 5th wheel because we don't want holes drilled into the roof or sides. We built a simple 2x4 wooden frame to mount to with panels side-side on the ground. HEADS UP: if you're going to install these panels side-side then be sure to get extension cables to connect your panels to each other.
