How's this different to any other xylitol gum?

I'm not sure. I've only tried this after the medication I am on has caused constant dry mouth. But wow that mint packs a punch, so strong. But in a good way. Your mouth instantly begins to water. Keeps its strong flavor for a decent amount of time and even when it starts to lighten up it, I can still chew it for a couple hours and taste the flavor. Totally try it if that is an issue for you, I wasn't disappointed I don't think you will be either. This question actually reminded me I need to order more ha! So thanks! :)

What flavor are they. Don't want peppermint, too strong. Like a ligther mint flavor.?

I had the same issue and thought the bubble gum flavor might be an improvement - and it is! There is still a very minimal mint/fresh component, but it’s mostly a light, not-too-sweet bubble gum flavor. No burning as with the peppermint; I strongly prefer the bubble gum flavor and would highly recommend it.

Does this help more than water?

It really works for me. I have chronic dry mouth due to medications i take and this is the only thing that gives me relief and the taste is not overpowering. I keep it on auto ship.

Why can't i buy more than 3 packs? i am in mexico until may and having friends being to me when they visit

It depends on how many boxes the seller is selling. I've purchased multiple boxes at one time. Although, they're not always discounted. And, often it's expensive. A single box price ranges from $3.00-$15.00; and multiple $6.00-26.00. The multiple can be two to four boxes at a time.
