No wireless account need, just battery operated.

Not true my kid got ours speaking in German, I have no idea how.

Q: How do you adjust the volume?

Don’t know that it can be adjusted. These things usually come with a low and a high volume. Didn’t love this as much as other VTech items. There are probably better phony phones out there.
