Repos Production Ghost Stories Board Game - 10 Years, For 10 Years

El juego llegó en perfecto estado y antes de lo planeado. Gran juego cooperativo, difícil pero muy divertido. Entre más jugadores estén es mucho mejor.

Haven't tried playing it solo yet, but this game is a lot of fun ! You're very tempted to cheat the first couple of times, and you should - that way you get to learn from your mistakes and see how the game unfolds. Once you start playing for real though, oh boy, watch out ! This is worse than a zombie apocalypse, you are definitely going to die before the 1st season ends. The rules are a bit confusing and need a couple rereads, but you can find PDF cheat-sheets on-line. An average game takes about 1 hour (for 2-3 players). I bought this game because it matched the following criteria: - fun (lot's and lot's of it !) - no time limit (you can listen to some music, drink some wine, joke around) - easy to play (once you grasp the rules, one's turn is swiftly played) - cooperative (100%, no personal objectives, only 1 common one) - friendly to new players (and they won't feel left behind since it's cooperative) Also, the theme and cards are pretty bad-ass ! I highly recommend this ;-)

※ルールブックは英語表記なのでご注意を。 4人の道士を操作してゴーストを封印する戦闘＆協力型のボードゲーム。 戦闘メインとなると、ルールが多かったり女性が参加しづらいイメージがありますが、 このゲームのルールは非常に覚えやすく流れも分かりやすいです。 10時間ほどプレイして、はじめはちょっとリアルさが足りないかと思ってましたが、 戦略を練ったり初心者でも協力プレイがしやすいよう上手く抽象化してあることが分かりました。 ゲームの経験が少ない人でもきっとすぐに最終目的＝ボスの討伐という世界観に馴染めると思います。 4人の道士はそれぞれ能力が異なる＝各プレイヤーそれぞれ違った貢献度を感じられるでしょうから、 初心者が置いてけぼりになることも少ないでしょう。 さらに非常に簡単な方法で難易度の調整や1人用、2・3人用ルールの導入が可能です。 何度も遊べる奥深さとルールの簡単さのバランスではボードゲーム史上最高！と言っても過言ではありません。 手ごたえが欲しいけどルールがめんどいのはヤダ、という人にもオススメできる一品です。 ちなみにここでいうゴーストとは妖怪やキョンシーといった面々。 出てくるアイテムもキョンシー映画（霊幻道士や幽幻道士）で見慣れたアイテムたちばかりなので 昭和世代には特に馴染みやすい世界観だと思います。

After having played the game about a dozen times i can say the following: -> Amazing production quality, the cards, the boards, almost everything was great( apart from the dice, they were a little sticky at first and the colour seems to fade out quickly...) ->Great artwort and implementation of an atmospheric theme. The ghosts seem really scary and unsettling and you feel like the village comes to life with every little detail you notice. ->The gameplay mechanisms are awesome. There is a great amount of strategy to be found in this game since not only the players have to think hard before they act, but also they have to be prepared for what is coming up next. I have played a lot of games where the dice are eventually the sole factor that determines the outcome, but not this one. The dice are there, but there is much more than that. ->The difficulty is just right. Not easy not impossible. At first it can get overwhelming but there are ways to get around every obstacle. In the harder levels sure it is like hell. One wrong move and it is over...However in the easy mode it is pretty managable with the right strategy of course. After all it is a coop game! It's supposed to be hard!Otherwise what's the point? ->The cooperation element is very strong! The players must work together to survive. Everyone has a role to play but no one can stand on their own. It is not like a player leaves after taking his turn and comes back in 10 minutes to play again.Everyone is there watching in agony!They can even share equipment! That's coop!! ->Finally it is very easy to teach! There are no long texts, no complicated rules and the ambiguous points can easily be clarified from FAQs. It is all symbols and pretty straight forward in my opinion and that of the people i taught it to. That was my review of ghost stories. If someone is a fun of coop board games should definitely play this game. It is simple yet strategic, hard yet addictive and it proves that it was made with care to every single detail!

I read up on this game and sounded like a fun concept with interesting mechanics. I ordered the game and watched some tutorials online so I could get into the game right away. I played single player about a dozen times and probably win about 80% of the time. Using neutral boards helps out a lot. I finally got to play two player yesterday and the game is a lot harder. It's very fun trying to plan out a strategy, only for it to get ruined by the curse die or a new ghost that appears. The board can get overwhelmed with ghosts in no time. It was a fairly easy game to learn with the instructions and all the information online. My friend picked up the game quick, so it really helps if you can get someone to teach you the game. I'm looking forward to playing a 4 player game. My only complaint is that I got a set of sticky dice. Hopefully it wears off after a few more games. Update 9/16/2013: I emailed Asmodee customer service about the sticky dice, and they sent me a new set of dice. They responded quick to the email and shipped out a set as soon as they became available. Thank you Asmodee! Update 10/15/2013: I was hesitant on teaching my sister, mom, and dad this game, but decided to give it a shot since I really enjoy this game. All 3 picked up the game fairly quickly, and it helps that it's a co-op to help them throughout the game when they have questions. My parents have been asking me to bring the game over just about once a week so they can play. They both mention this is one of their favorite games. As long as you can teach someone to play, it seems like everyone who plays the game enjoys it. I'm tempted to buy White Moon expansion to see how it changes the game.
