Best deal on amazon. Comes with a stainless steel brush too. Can also use it to clean the grill. I use a scraper to scrap off the grease on the salt block for cleaning.

This is my first time cooking with a Salt Block so I ordered the "Holder" so I could handle the heated block on the stove and in the oven without burning my hand. This works great - a little wood burning smell the first time but after that it calms.

I purchased this on a lightning deal that clearly showed a block of salt with a holder barely visible in the background. To my dissappointment only a holder arrived but it does look well made. I brought this up to Amazon and they refunded me the price of the salt which I then bought. I am not exactly sure what to do with it but the salt block fits the holder well and I am looking forward to cooking with it.

Was a gift for my son. He called me and told me that was the best gift. They cooked salmon, said it was the bested salmon they ever have had. They live in CA. They eat salmon often. So impressed. Finally I blew him away. I have a hard time "picking the right gift" I nailed it this time. Thanks!

I am not crazy about the wooden handles. I preheat my blocks on their holders in my electric convection oven first gradually up to 500 degrees "F" but I can't with this holder because the wood would burn. Would prefer just metal handle. I do however like the raised height of the handles.
