Works perfect with my MacBook Pro 2013 model. It was plug and play without any drivers. Other model (without usb) from other manufacturer required additional drivers to be installed. Speed test showed same results on both devices.

High quality item, which is working with no issues. Light and compact. Tested with different USB drives (including 1Tb SDD external disk enclosure). Ethernet chip is Realtek USB GBe Family works at 1000 GBe.I would recommend to buy if you need more USB ports for your laptop.
