Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation - Cool 2

I have super sensitive skin - eczema (dehydrated)/combination skin) and I get cystic acne (which has been improving but still happens more often than I would like). I've been slowly transitioning over to more natural products since my body is becoming more sensitive to things. I was skeptical about getting a powder that is a foundation, but I decided to give it a shot. I like how there are so many options to match your skin tone (because that will make or break how well it covers/looks.) I also loved the description for each production. I thankfully got the perfect shade when I ordered on the first try. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually covered my acne scars/redness (from the cystic acne - which is so hard to do) - better than my concealer. So, I don't need a concealer anymore! I tried different methods of applying and the quantity of which. I find I don't really like putting it completely over my entire face. It looks nice at a normal distance but up close you can totally see the makeup. I found that I like to apply it more as a concealer than a foundation. For those that do not wish to use it as I do, you can build up the coverage. It is fairly easy to do. I would think too many layers might give a cakey look but it does cover nicely to begin with, so maybe 2 layers if you need a medium/full coverage. Again, every face is different so experiment. I use a setting powder but you may or may not need to. I tend to have combo skin so my forehead can get oily. You'll have to experiment. One month in and no bad reactions so far. (I usually need at least 3 months before I can get a reaction so time will tell on that but I don't foresee it happening.) I don't think it clogs my pores (at least not yet) although I'm not caking it all over my face either. Overall, it works well.

I love this foundation. I was looking for a really pure, acne-friendly, non pore-clogging powder foundation and this was so highly recommended and it was worth it. The color matches me perfectly, although, since there are so many, I could have gotten away with a shade darker C3, but c2 works great for my pale, neutral/pink skin. It can get a little cakey if applied too much at once, so it's better to apply in sections and a little at a time. Not too matte and drying for my dry skin and it's just really natural and even somewhat glowy looking, if set with a nice spray.

I have old acne scars, some hyperpigmentation and the occasional breakout. This foundation evens my skin tone, makes my scars less noticeable and completely hides my hyperpigmentation. I don’t break out from it, it’s lightweight and I can use it alone without concealer (I only use concealer for my hormonal breakouts). I highly recommend this product and it’s nice to have something I know is safe for my skin too!

I got this product specifically because I saw it recommended for perioral dermatitis, and I’m happy to say it works!!!! I’m very thankful because I enjoy makeup but my other powder was making the rash much worse!

Recently switched to acne safe makeup and I'm so thankful for this brand! My skin stays clear while wearing makeup. Great coverage and color matches my pale skin well. I work long hours and this holds up until I wash it off. Definitely will be purchasing more products from this bland.
