Wow!
Very impressed with these. Don't fall for the cheap Chinese knockoffs. These are of much higher quality and made from better materials. I suffered a bony mallet finger fracture in a dooring accident. I started with a splint my doctor gave me and transitioned to a Chinese Oval-B imitation before settling on the original. Very pleased with how comfortable Oval-B finger splints are to wear and how quickly the injury is healing. Thank you, 3-Point Products!

Excellent product!
Mallet finger is not something you want to have, but working in my garage I got this unpleasant surprise. Got stax splints which were ok, but the skin started macerating under the plastic splint, no matter the small holes there. I used a bit of gauze/bandage to wrap the finger before inserting it inside the stax splint. Still not perfect, because you needed to keep the finger dry or else you'd need to change the wrapping again. The best choice was to get the Oval-8 splints. I looked for the best offer since I'm in EU and have to pay the "lovely" customs taxes and VAT too, besides the shipping cost. Getting a single Oval-8 splint or a set of three might not have been the best idea, if they didn't fit well. So I bought the Oval-8 Splint Sizing Set, well worth the higher cost. There is a huge difference between the regular stax splint and Oval-8 ones. With an Oval-8 splint you do not worry about washing your hands, including the hurt finger. It is small and very versatile. No more sore skin. But if you intend to play basketball or work with tools maybe replace it with the stax in that period. Though I never had to do it.Skin breathes, you can do almost everything you did before the injury (of course being more careful this time), since you can barely observe and feel the Oval-8 splint on your finger. Plus, if by any unfortunate event you hurt other fingers you can easily use another splint from the set. They can also be used for arthritis, trigger finger etc.Highly recommended!

Worked well for me.
A while back I was hit in the tip of my left pinky finger. It ruptured the tendon, causing a hairline fracture, resulting in mallet finger. My doctor said it had to be splinted for several weeks. He initially gave me a couple splints that I had to keep taped to my finger. Since I sit at a computer all day, it made typing inconvenient. I also had to be careful to keep my finger completely straight when changing the splint or drying my finger, which wasn't easy either since the tendon was ruptured. I found these splints and gave them a shot.I ordered the sizing set since I didn't know which would fit me best. I found the appropriate size for my finger and wore the splint non-stop until my doctor told me I could take it off for short periods of time so I could try to regain flexibility. The Oval-8 splint was an amazing improvement over the regular splint my doctor gave me. Since the design is mostly open and it's made of plastic, it was easy to wash and dry my finger. I would occasionally have to rotate the splint 45 to 90 degrees, or slightly shift it towards the tip so the skin underneath could dry, but it kept my finger straight. It also felt better when typing because my fingertip could actually press keys. The only real complaint I have about the splint is it seems to have stretched out during the time I had to wear it. I had to use the size I chose since the next size down was far too tight and the next size up was too loose. If it was a bit sturdier, I probably would have given it 5 stars, but I think 4 is pretty fair.On a side note, my doctor told me that my finger wouldn't be 100% straight again because of the injury. He had the same injury in the past and the tip of his finger pointed down slightly. He could still move it, but it wasn't perfect. My finger healed much better by comparison. When I look closely and compare it to my right hand, there is a slight droop, but I really have to examine it.

Really useful for hypermobilility/EDS, good size options
I'm hypermobile enough that I don't have a good sense of where my range of motion "should" be, and I'll lock some of my joints up because they'll have been extended WAY too far for a long time. These braces are comfortable enough that I can wear them for a good amount of time and still actually use my hand, but they encourage a healthy range of motion so I'm not injuring myself. My hands/fingers are really small, so I was relieved the sizing options went down enough that I could still actually get some support, and the sizes move up in a way that it's been easy to find a fit. The bigger/biggest sizes look like they'd go up enough to work for people with larger hands, and the extra sizing also means splinting options for days I'll need that.I've been putting off getting finger braces for a while now because any braces I get seem to be really hit or miss, and I'm really happy that I ended up getting these

Very effective!
These were perfect for an injury I suffered playing volleyball. I caught a volleyball on the tip of my finger resulting in a mallet finger injury. I write a lot of reports for my job which means constant typing. This splint allowed me to type and wash my hands well (very important in the midst of a global pandemic). Because of the swelling my finger had (and still has) the splint became uncomfortable at times. I found wearing a small bandaid between my finger and the splint was very helpful. I would definitely recommend these. The hand surgeon I saw was impressed with how I was able to use these splints to immobilize my finger prior to my appointment. Buying all of the sizes was super helpful to me for getting the right fit. I also fluctuated sizes for a while in the beginning when my finger was the most swollen. I lost the size that fits the best for my injured finger so I plan to repurchase that size for my set. I was able to purchase this with my HRA account which was another bonus!
