The seaweed is quite delicious, but I really disike periodically crunching on the baby snails lodged in the folds of the seaweed. Despite tearing and sifting through every piece of seaweed, I still chomp on one in my homemade miso soup, which is why I purchaed this product.

This is more of a thinner type of kombu for making stock/dashi. The texture is hard and chewy. Wakame(Undaria pinnatifida) has a silkier and softer texture. Dry wakame can be soaked in water for about 5-7minutes to soften whereas Alandria takes up to 12 hours. Wakame also has a different flavor. I will finish the item because it looks healthy but I didn’t really enjoy. The leaves also didn’t turn bright green as stated.

I use this product for its nutritional value. It's best cooked because it has a mild flavour but in its raw state it needs a lot of chewing!

This was purchased for a new recipe. The family wasn't a fan of the recipe, so I probably won't need to purchase this product again, but for those who use various types of seaweed on a regular basis, I suspect this would be considered fine.

I did not like how the seaweed smell or taste. It's like chewing a piece of plastic. Also, it tasted like cheap salt seasonings. Not pleasant! I've tried to pan fried it as the package instructed to make it into chips but it's still plastic-e taste. Ok so I'll tried another way the package instructed by putting into my soup. BIG MISTAKE. I put a couple of pieces in the soup and it over salt the soup with bad tasting salt. However, I can eat the seaweeds because now I can chewed it. It tasted better and it supposed to be good for you so I eat them. ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE! I ate it during dinner and when I woke up in the morning, I got light headed, got the life sucked out of me and very fatigue. I used the restroom and had diarrhea. I can see the seaweed that being digested in the toilets. Not a fun time. Now I'm stuck with this package that I can't eat or return.
