Dupli-Color EMS300007 Retro Red Metal Specks - 11 oz.

This item was taped over the cap and paint had been dripped down both sides of the spout. When I sprayed it, it only sprayed once and I got no more usage from it. I'm sure it was used. I tried to do a return but was not able. I don't know if this was because of the type of product or not.

I'm pretty pleased with this paint, especially considering it's a rattle can. I was curious about the results using different base colors. I did a quick test using identical pieces, one primed flat black and another unprimed with its original beige color. The black primed piece is on the left. For my purposes, I sort of like the beige base better but honestly, with a second coat it isn't likely to make a huge difference. The coverage is good and it seemed to exit the can evenly. No runs, no uneven bursts. I applied it outdoors in low humidity, temps around 65-70°F, on an overcast afternoon with no breeze. I also bought a can of the green to try. After good results with the red I'm optimistic about this product in other colors for my needs.

Beautiful color and sprays like it should

One can sprayed flawlessly and I got a great outcome after wet sanding and clear coat but the other can had a faulty nozzle that ended with paint all over me all in all I love the product and finish and would recommend to others remember the finish will appear dull and uneven until clear coated

I used this to paint my son's pinewood derby car. It came out beautiful. I recommend for a deep gloss, to add the clear coat over it. This paint is finicky - make sure you have perfect conditions, no wind, no dust blowing. It also makes a LOT of overspray dust. If you spray this indoors, like a garage or shop, the red dust will cling to everything in a 20' radius. But the end result is great! Lots of thin coats.
