I'm super glad I bought this spool. I got it with the safety clasp mechanism for my necklace. My toddler kept snapping my chains. Anyway, I hate to buy stuff like this without seeing/touching, but I threw caution to the wind and I'm glad I did. It was exactly what I wanted/needed. The rope is silky smooth, comfortable against my neck. Much better than a chain any day. My kid also likes to steal my necklace and play with it, and I've yet to replace the first use. It's a little frayed, so I could if I wanted to, but I don't care. It's still in good shape. My piece slides along well, my kid enjoys the taste. If you're looking for a soft, sturdy, non-leather jewelry thinger, this is perfect.

I was looking for a soft cord to use for making necklaces and the local craft store shut down so I came here. This stuff is exactly what I used to buy and absolutely perfect because it has a little sheen to it and easily worked with. To tighten and seal the ends, i use a lighter to heat up the knot and slightly melt ends. The knot will remain there forever. The color does not rub off on your neck nor clothing...even when wet (i wear crystals and don't continually take my necklaces off and on for showering, sleeping...etc) Sometimes i add a drop of essential on a cottonball and apply it to the cord....it holds the scent and still doesn't bleed. It's soft on my skin and extremely durable!!! This roll should last me a long time but I'm changing all my black corded items to this beautiful rich brown. I'll definitely buy more of this product when needed! It's absolutely perfect for my use.
