Closest to Your Heart and Home
Have been reading the ACIM Urtext since 2015, after having dog-eared the blue FACIM version. Eight years on from having received the Urtext and I remain gobsmacked by the incalculable, transformative gift this version is to humanity.

It isn't easy but it is very simple!
Acknowledging that I am a Spiritual Being experiencing a Human existence and finding the road to living that Truth in a day to day, down to Earth, and practical way is my goal and my mission in life. Following the lessons in this Course has transformed my experience. This is not the run of the mill Ego driven Christian Dogma. It is not easy because we are all driven and guided by our Ego's perception of Truth. This Course is a clarification of 2000 year old teachings. It is a way of life, a way of thinking, and it is very Simple: There is only God. God is Love. We are created in His Likeness. We are One with our Creator. Love is the Only Truth in the Universe. Jesus taught us Truth. The Truth has not changed nor will it because Truth is Absolute and Eternal. The Only rule is LOVE! We are to Love God. We are to Love Ourselves. We are to Love one another, unconditionally. We are to Forgive ourselves and each other where we cannot feel or understand how to find a means to Love. And In All Things we are to remind ourselves that Only God Creates what is Real. Love is What God Creates. Love is What God Is. It is what we are. This is very simple but it is not easy. A Course in Miracles is a very good guide in helping to teach us how to live the Truth. It is clear to me that this message is not exclusive to those who believe. It is Universal, it is Truth and it is not bound by religious dogma nor is it true because it is believed. Whether one believes or not, the Message belongs to Everyone.

Endeavor Academy/ Chuck Anderson's Censored History of ACIM
This book represents a certain view that some hold within the ACIM community that takes issue with Helen Schucman's statement that the FIP editions of ACIM were "substantially unchanged". The book seems to posit the odd view that after first having recieved a "more pure" (but initially secret) version of ACIM, that after having received this "more pure version" that Schucman and others then conspired to somehow hide or delete substantial parts of it. To me this logic seems to be somewhat confusing. If Schucman was the one with whom the "Voice" of the Course, presumably Jesus, first entrusted the Course, but then Schucman and other co-conspirators eventually became "obscurers/ concealers" of the Course, why would any scholar put so much effort into the study of any writing that would have been written by such obviously conflicted and mixed up kooks? .... and what zany reasons would such revealers/ concealers possibly have to try to conceal what they at first were trying to reveal?Personally I am left feeling much more comfortable with the view that was presented by all three of the original scribe/ editors, and then by the original/ sole publisher (FIP) of the book for its first 28 years of publication (and also ever since Anderson overturned most of the copyright, and others began publishing a few of their own versions). This "official" view is that the reason Schucman wrote that it was "substantially unchanged (from what she had first received)", was because its substance/ essence was indeed unchanged.I think it's safe to call this the "official" view, because it is simply the view that Schucman was being consistent and honest, both when she relayed and shepherded the Course from a mere "Voice" within her mind, into what ultimately became a copyrighted spiritual classic, and also when she wrote about that "relaying process". For a student of ACIM to turn around and then question Helen on her honesty and integrity in any of this simply makes absolutely no sense to me at all. Why would anyone want to read any book that one thought was written by a liar? Would any rational fan of the book, "Tom Sawyer", first praise that book, but then claim that Mark Twain actually "screwed it up" by not using one of his first rough drafts, and then try to publish that instead? This just all seems a bit "silly" to me.Sure, Helen obviously felt that the Course's original rough draft wording needed a little editing before it could be released, but I for one am quite happy that she didn't first try to release and publish the convoluted, jumpy, and obtuse Urtext version found here, but that I first found this wonderful book in its now inspiring, elegant, and almost holographic dark blue jacketed form, as it is still published by the FIP today.Yet, I must give the very energetic compiler/ editor of this book credit for presenting his own view of ACIM, whatever that view may have been, with what was obviously great thoroughness, consistency, and effort.

there IS not love here, to quote Wapnick
The previously edited pages are revealed. Helen condescends to Jesus on page one. Picture an Ork, picking up a pipe, pausing and asking an Elf with a mind more beautiful than Galladriel by a thousand times. "Do you CONSIDER this a miracle?" (what is your opinion) Orks were once Elves and descended being drawn by the promise of three "homes", Ponzi schemes, lots of sex, drugs, alcohol and drugs, a never ending fraternity party and the miracles of plastic surgery, muscles and fake cheerleader smiles wide open like a smiling dog. Elves and the middle ground, human beings, sail to the other shore (The Real World) See the Elf, C.S. Lewis's fine description in the final book of his Narnia series. The Orks go to a nether world of spirits of John Edwards and other mediums, (ghosts) The Reality of Elves is an ever-expanding Joy, Gratitude, Co-creation and Love. Orks hate themselves, all others and the creator of Elves and Human Beings. Orks are self made, like a self programmed computer. Orks love the genitals and so are disgusting and ridiculous and will consume all provision of the earth very quickly. A favorite oconic self portrait of Orks is a grinning egg shooting off a ten foot fountain of seminal fluid. While they are incarnate they provide a comedy show for Elves and Human Beings, such as when Jesus played a gay man using Helen as dead pan discussing the various shopping services. As the xtian Orks have some slight awareness, they know that somebody blew it, (it was them) LOL What a hoot

More than information - if you value relationship
This work is one of a few that marks a shift in human consciousness that can be called Awakening. It isn't data to analyze, interpret and 'understand' - but a very direct communication with a purpose to serve that awakening in the reader - whose reality is not as he thinks it is.The purpose or desire of the reader is the peace and sanity that has been lost to our awareness through the indulgence of 'the mind of judgement'. Or the discovery of love shared where before had been a grievance. Or the release of a false limitation by which a state of isolation was maintained.Truth cannot be found in books. But can not be obscured where there is a true willingness to listen. If you read some of this and feel guided to trust it then use it for the purpose it serves - as you find you are willing. There are many other ways - but the way that you discover will be through your own recognition and acceptance. The basis of trust begins with your discernment. That said - there are many ways of relating to this work - but if you stop a while and consider - relationship itself - rather than what you 'get out of it' is the way and the truth and the life. So my introduction would ask you to open to a sense of actual felt relationship - within which of course you may observe all the stuff of the dance of opening and closing. This particular edition is the earliest version. It may not be the best introduction. Some of the later versions edited the earlier stages in ways that may be less confusing because this work was received dictation in its entirety and the ones who wrote it out were most unsettled initially by a Course that came as a result of their joint willingness to 'find a better way'. However, I am very pleased to have this version now - and it has opened my eyes much more to the nature of the relational willingness and trust that this book came to and through. In technical terms, I don't find the type layout attractive or very readable but I understand that is is a labour of love to publish it and that there are various constraints or decision that are the best of what is currently available. It works well enough. You can freely and legitimately read this work online - or download it and read on your computer - as it has been cleared of copyright. (That does not apply to some of the later versions).I have lived with the Companionship and Guidance of A Course in Miracles for many years and like the Bible or indeed any truly inspirational text - one's reading and appreciation shifts as one awakens in life into a greater trust.Truth is revealed in Intimate Relationship - it is never something one can war over, define, possess or render into the human mind that is predicated on that same self imagery and illusion. It is the caring, the quality of attention, and the compassionate involvement - that extends into the world. Not A Course in Miracles-ism!Peace be in your heart - because it IS - but to know this requires the reversal of an erroneous process of self belief. This Course is now available to you because - at some level - it has been called for. Desired.

Good quality print and paper and well laid out
This ACIM book has been printed to a high standard. Paper is of a good quality and clearly printed. It is complete with text, workbook for students and manual for teachers etc.Whether this is more suited to your needs than the FIP blue cover version is an individual choice. You will need to do your own research and come to your own conclusion.I bought this version as it includes original text that apparently the FIP version does not have.Just bare in mind this book is A4 in size and a bit heavy. So great for home study but not so easy to carry around.I am pleased with this purchase.

At last the search is over!
I had heard about and then found Helen Schucman's urtext manuscript of ACIM on the internet. Bound copies were available from America at the time but we're very expensive. In the meantime I continued reading the Foundation of Inner Peace version, which totally did not make sense to me. Why? Because over 48,000 words have been edited out of the original manuscript with missing points that are relevant for today.Having read the course for nearly ten years now, I agree that in the beginning ACIM is not easy and that's because it is undoing the ego and the way we think in this world. But over time ACIM does become easier and clarity of mind emerges. The so called "personal parts" of the course that were not meant to be shared, I found to be very insightful as people do have those types of characteristics and behavioural patterns. So I feel that sharing these aspects gives one more understanding.I thank Doug Thompson for his hard work in bringing the urtext version of ACIM to the general public and highly recommend it.

Doug Thompson has created a wonderful, scholarly and more personal text that for me ...
Doug Thompson has created a wonderful, scholarly and more personal text that for me is, much more accurate an interpretation. The inclusion of the Urtext provides personal insights into the relationship that Hellen Shuchman and Bill Tedford had with the Spirit voice known as Jesus. Prior editions stated that there had been very little editing, however the loss of 166.000 words does not make it so. The inclusion of all elements of A Course in Miracles that tends to read in a more loving and caring fashion makes it the best choice of all editions in my opinion!

Masterpiece.
Utterly excellent piece of work putting this book together in it's current format. Much more convenient than the blue-covered combined version. It's my new favorite version by far!
