Q: how is this guage hooked up?

Never got it hooked up. Still sitting on a shelf in the garage. Have gotten along without it. Not good instructions, at least for me.

Q: Wil this work with 1998 merc bigfoot fourstroke 50 hp?

If you know how it hooks up to the motor it should work I took my boat to the boat dealer there staff wired it right up still working on my 60 hp Merc. 2 stroke.Good luck
