Ever since eating this treat at my local Indian restaurant, I have been obsessed. If gulab jamun isn’t available on the buffet when I go, the staff brings me out a generous bowl on the house because they are wonderful people and understand my love for gulab jamun. I could not control my joy when I saw I could actually have this item whenever I wanted through Amazon. I was not disappointed in my purchase. These gulab jamun were delicious! Smaller than I am used to but that just means I can eat more. The syrup seemed thicker than the restaurants but I simply added a little water and toned down the sweetness. These babies make me SO happy! Please keep in mind that I am an American girl with polish parents so I have never had the pleasure of consuming Homemade gulab jamun nor have I traveled to India to taste the real Indian version. So my comparison of this is only with an Americanized Indian restaurant; however, it is owned by an Indian family and oh my goodness it is delightful! My cans have arrived dented every time I’ve ordered these. I don’t really mind considering the journey these babies have likely taken. Eat up everyone! This is a can of pure happiness!

Came dented but surprised it tasted delicious. Would definitely recommend. Not sure about the quality of ingredients though.

They made me give it a star, it did not deserve even one; some were raw in the middle and all tasted like motor oil, why all the oil?

I simply love receiving surprises; this product did not fail to surprise me! Gulab Jamun is my all-time favorite Indian desert and I especially enjoy eating it from a can that has gone rancid and contains botulism bacteria. I could not be happier with this order - and I wrote to congratulate the company that produced these gems Alas, they are too busy lining their pockets with ill-begotten sales to thank me. This was the most intensely pleasurable experience of my life because while I was recovering in the emergency room, I met the love of my life, the kindest and sweetest person in this world. To think, if I hadn't ordered this Gulab Jamun, I'd never have lived to meet the woman of my dreams...and fortunately enough, I did survive. I highly recommend trying this fabulous product - you, too may meet the woman of your dreams...then again, you just might meet your maker instead. It's definitely worth the risk.
