Makes a great birthday or Christmas gift!
I had a similar riding horse when I was a child and was excited to give this to my nephews as one of their birthday gifts. I bought this with my younger nephew in mind since he likes to pretend he's a farmer, but knew my older nephew would like it also. My nephew turning 3 loved feeding the horse the carrot and combing its mane, but was afraid to ride it. My nephew turning 6 loved riding it and weighs the same as his younger brother. I think they'll enjoy it for years, but it will take some time for the 3-year-old to ride it. To try and show him it wasn't scary, I rode it myself (with my feet on the ground) and weigh 120 pounds, so it's definitely very sturdy! My nephews named him Chocolate since they didn't like the name Chestnut and liked him enough that they wanted to feed him at each meal. It took an hour to assemble, but was worth it. The sound switch is under the horse's chin and has a loud, very loud and off option. There's a different horse sound for walking, trotting, galloping, eating, and a few others. It's motion-activated so you can leave it on and it takes AA batteries. It would've needed a lot of wrapping paper so I just put a blanket over it instead of gift wrap. It's easy to move once assembled and can fit through doorways and in the back of a car to be transported from Grandma and Grandpa's to their house. Kids 2-6 will love it! It's much better than the ones from the 90s and a lot safer than a pony-cycle.

Totally recommend
Bought for my 2 year old grand and she LOVES IT. Seems real safe, makes funny noises, easy for her to get off and on. Great quality

My niece loves it
Definitely would have been easier to assemble with a second set of hands, but it’s great quality. My niece makes sure to feed her horse everyday!

Hobby horse
My two year old great granddaughter absolutely loves this hobby horse. It so cute and durable. Size is perfect and she has no trouble getting on and off it. Easy to put together. I did by myself not hard at all. So worth every penny. And it whinnies too. Just so cute.

Kid loves it
It took my wife and I 1 hour 16 mins to put it together (stop watched it). It's a little tough to get the body together. One of the screws didn't catch the threading to the horse...but it's still together and very sturdy. (Added 2021. In the words of my now 6 year old) “whenever I walk into the front room it’s a alarm, I hear a loud crunching sound. It’s the sensor when we feed it a carrot. It happens because of my shadow . But if you need an alarm for something that walks into your room this is the perfectness or if you need chewing sounds when you walk into a room this object is totally perfect. I love chestnut and I love horses.”

Our grandson loves his new horse. He can feed it a carrot (comes with the horse) and the horse makes chewing sounds. The springs are covered which help him as he pulls himself up onto the horse. He loves the galloping and neighing noises the horse makes as he rides it. It also comes with a comb so he can comb the mane. It is very sturdy and I know our grandson will get many years of enjoyment,

Only problem is lasso on right front of saddle area rubs on little knees and does hurt. My daughter in law puts a small blanket over the saddle area. Otherwise, it’s great value for the money. Now, I’ve got to get a 2nd one for my older granddaughter. Lol

This was a birthday gift for my 2 year old grandson. He loves it! It’s a very sturdy horse and was easy to assemble. The noises it makes could be louder, but it’s still an awesome toy.
