Aiphone Corporation JOS-1V Box Set for JO Series, Hands-Free Video Intercom

I use this at my home for my wifes home daycare. The daycare is in the basement and the access for families is in the garage. My wife is able to view, from the basement, who is at the garage door which in on the opposite side of the house. She can then use the door unlock feature to let the parents into the garage, before running all the way up the stairs and to the other side of the house. The video quality is good and you can easily identify who is at the door. This unit also allows you to talk to and hear what the people outside are saying. The quality of this product is great. The screen is a nice simplistic design and does stick out from the wall very far. The outdoor camera unit is enclosed in a metal housing which protects it from what ever mother nature or kids may throw at it. We also like the fact that there is a lit window in the outdoor camera unit, that allows you to put your name or some other text in it. WE put the name of our daycare inside of that little window which in turn is lit. I creates a professional look. The purpose for this is the Aiphone does not provide any voltage from the door release output. It is a dry contact. The device above accepts the dry contact via the "GND" and "PUSH" inputs, and activates the 12vdc NO/NC outputs. There is also an adjustable delay for the the amount of time you want the door to remain unlocked. This electric door strike than releases allowing the families to simply push open the door granting them access to the home. The door knob that I have on the door is always locked from the outside. used it to replace an older Aiphone so I used the same wiring, bracket for display could be thicker

We had an old Aiphone without a camera and it was not working well. I replaced it with this one and the receptionist loves it. It was easy to install and works well
