Gavottes - Crispy Lace Crepes from France, 240ct, 44oz

Gavottes crepes are the best cookie I’ve ever had. Due to Trump’s tariffs, the price has doubled. It’s a damned shame for the company and the consumer.

I don't know quite how to describe these in relation to anything else I've eaten, and things like "Really good sugarcone" or "Like a buttery fortune cookie, but soooo much thinner!" are going to be more misleading than helpful. These are absurdly thin, very-thin-paper thin wafers of wheat flour, butter, and sugar, cooked brown and rolled up into a couple of bites of flaky insanity. They're delicate enough to be crushed with a bad intention, but they come wrapped two to a lovely gold foil wrapping, and in a very tough tin. I'm yet to find anything crushed or broken. Be aware however, that the nature of this treat is that the very touch of your hand is going to flake a bit off; what I'm saying is, having a napkin handy.

As part of my holiday gift giving I included a bag of baked goods and included a handful of these delectable bites. Everyone who received them needed to know where I bought them and wanted more information on what they are called. I also brought a few boxes into the office and everyone was so pleased. They are very delicate and a bit messy when eating them straight from the individually wrapped packaging but they are delicious and so tasty. Strongly and highly recommend. I would give 10 stars if that was an option.

My first time ordering this through Amazon and at this quantity - have bought this in European supermarkets at much smaller packages. Was worried after reading some comments about crumbling of pieces, but luckily the top row is intact - will see about the rest as going through - even though the box showed two indentures on top from bumping. This is a very nice product with excellent taste, makes for a nice gift as well.

SAFETY.I ordered the Gavottes many times before. A few times they were not packed with enough material and I had a lot of crumbs. On may 3rd 2025 when i received the gavottes they were packed in a very light carton. When I opened them I immediately noticed that the box had not been sealed the normal way. The tape all around the box did not exist. Instead they were two little tapes (2cm) on two sides. Nothing else. The Gavottes were not organise the regular way. The individual portions were not in wrappers and in various order. It shows that the box had been manually filed. I am sending a copy to the Gavottes company. It is a safety matter.

I am so happy to order this large tin of Gavottes. I have been having some difficulty finding these at my local French import store so I was thrilled to find this here at Amazon. The tin contains 240 pieces of lightly sweet and crispy pieces of heaven! These are the plain ones, by the way, and I love it more than the chocolate-covered Gavottes. As for delivery, since the goodies were all encased in a tin box, none of them were crushed. Best served with tea, coffee, or with ice cream (either crushed or left as is). Wonderful! Thank you~

Light, crunchy and thin, I deal with coffee. It’s basically a crepes dough but cooked all the way through. Always delicious.

Ich nutze die Crêpes Dentelles vorwiegend für Crispy Böden oder Zwischenschichten für Torten. Ich muss mich immer zurückhalten, dass ich sie nicht ständig so nasche. Wenn sie dann mal etwas Feuchtigkeit gezogen haben, weil zu wenig genascht (hihi), kann man sie im Airfryer wieder etwas auffrischen. Dann knacken sie wieder…

We were served these in a high falutin' restaurant. Other half loved so was thrilled to find these. Delicious accompaniment to ice-cream and other desserts.
