L'Abbaye de Flavigny Anise Drops - French Hard Candy - Large Bag 8.8 oz

These are wonderful, and always bring me back to Flavigny. I buy these drops in the 1/2 kg bags. I saved the tins from the last time I bought them, and I just keep refilling. I wish the Blackcurrant flavor was available in this bag size as well.

We ordered some of these candies and received the package today. Unfortunately the bag popped in shipping and the candies fell out. But they do taste good.

First tasted years ago in France, these little anis candies remind me of Paris. At the right moment, they supply the perfect, low calorie solution to a dry throat or rumbling, hungry tummy.

I really like the flavor, it’s not too strong. Refreshing

I ordered this because I love this candy. I discovered this candy in Madrid, Spain and had used up what I brought back. Also, I had ordered another item and they were packed together. Unfortunately the packing was not sufficient to keep things from moving around and the bag of candy broke open inside the carton. The other item was fine because it was larger and had enough packing material to keep it from moving around. More attention needs to be paid to smaller items like the candy. If it had been in another plastic bag I think it might have been ok.

I appreciate the mild anise flavor of these balls- not too sweet & a good size for popping in your mouth!

I was looking forward to this candy, as aniseed balls seem to be increasingly hard to find, but when it arrived the packaging was torn, and the balls spilled out on the floor.They did smell fantastic, however, and I will be re-ordering them. Hopefully I can give a full 5 stars.Update: a replacement pack has turned up and is being greedily devoured.If you like the larger red aniseed balls these are identical. If a little smaller. And, white.

My cousin introduced these to me, as the candy her mother always had to have for Christmas. I wasn't sure I'd like them. But oh... they have become an addiction. I can't eat just one. So I've turned to buying not the adorable little containers, but these big baggies. It is a much better value.But if you've never had them before, I suggest you pick up one of the sets. It's a great way to find your favorite. This is one of mine. The other one I adore is Rose. May you find your flavor. Heh.
