Obviously that shouldn't be the deciding factor in buying this gun oil, but it does make the process of cleaning my guns that much more enjoyable. Does it prevent rust? I can't say one way or another. I've only had one gun rust on me in about 14 years of gun ownership, and even then it was just light speckles from keeping it in a gun case for years. But I've never had any guns rust on me since using Weapon Shield about a year ago. Before then, I used Remington oil in a spray can, and I will say I much prefer this nozzle applicator. Doesn't get oil everywhere the way an errant blast from a can would, and you don't end up feeling like you're wasting product by tossing a spray can away with it still sloshing oil inside, but the gasses are all spent. Honestly, I don't notice a big difference in cleaning between this and Remington oil, if any, but the experience sure is more enjoyable with that cinnamon smell! Review: Superior product - When it comes to firearm products the sky is the limit with all of them claiming to be the best. Well, once in a while a product comes along and does what it say’s it will do. Super good product but don’t take my word for it check out the videos where weapon shield go’s head to head with other products. This is my go to product and has served me very well for years while serving in special operations. Check it out

Best there is.
Even though the Company was ran out of business, because its products are the best. I still will use nothing else. In my 50 years of extensive use of firearms nothing comes close. Was using Gun butter but it was a sad second compared to Weapon Shield. This seller is one of the best there is as well.

Coat 'em Danno !
Theere are quite a few CLP- type products on the market. I was given a sample of this priduct a number years ago. This brand of CLP and grease have become my go-to products for use on my firearms. Whenever I get a new firearm, I disasseble and thoroughly clean it with the CLP. I imparts a "satiny" feel on the metal parts that lubes and protects the metal surfaces. After several times of use, I disassemble again to clean, and sparingly apply the grease to those metal-to-metal surfaces that show wear. I have not noticed any thick, sticky build-up on metal surfaces, nor deleterious effects on polymer parts. I am quite pleased with this brand of products.

The second best oil I have ever used
This stuff is amazing. It prevents galling and has long lasting lubricity. What is the best oil? I don't know a friend gave me some red stuff and some blue stuff made by a chemical engineer friend of his that is amazing. But I don't know that recepy. As for what you can buy normal. This is far better than any other weapon oil I have ever used. FP10 was pretty great but this is better, Froglube smells like an old folks gym and does not work as well. There are some other quality oils but this is perhaps the best you can find.

Great stuff, but...
Great stuff, but the bottle was not screwed on tight. So when it arrived about a third of the bottle had leaked all over inside of the packaging.

Product Great, Vendor Needs to Be More Careful in Shipping
Weapon Shield is a great CLP. Unfortunately it was shipped with the cap and nozzle loose and there was oil loss in the bag. When my wife opened the bag, it splashed on her dress and was not happy. So, product is great but vendor needs to play closer attention before shipping. Gave it 5 stars to not ding Weapon Shield.

Great lubricant and protectant solution
This product seems to work well for firearm cleaning, lubrication and protection. It also has a mild, non-chemical smell, almost like cinnamon? It also has been handy for such things as shower rods (to help the rings slide smoother), the metal uprights under the headrests in the car (the things you adjust their height with), the square track on the lat attachment/weights equipment, and even on various tools, knives, etc. Actually now for firearms I prefer the Safariland "CLP" solution but this Weapon Shield is also good. This is a large bottle so it should last a long time. Previously I had been using "3 in 1" oil for the stuff around the house, and those car headrest uprights, but I found that it evaporates away and then the metal is more stuck. Since the Weapon Shield is more persistent and designed to operate at high temperatures, I am hoping it will last longer in those myriad applications.
