Is there a miximum thickness the door can be with these hinges?

I would go slightly wider than the hinge at a minimum… I framed out a door using 2x4 framing plus a layer of Sheetrock on both sides, so 4” total for my door, I wouldn’t go less than 2” total.

do you provide a template for mortising, alignment and drill holes?

Truthfully, I don't really remember - all I recall is that i did not have any issue in placing the pieces.... The biggest issue was chiseling out enough space for the top piece - to install the door, you need to raise the shank on the upper piece, ergo you need more room for the mechanism to retract into the header.

Will the door stay open after going 90 degree's?

Yes absolutely…make sure you use a plumb bob to get the top and bottom hinge aligned and it will swing smoothly and stay open… I built a rather heavy door 200+ lbs total…and used magnetic locks and it stays wherever I leave it.

does it work for two way in and out ? or in other words does it go 180" lastly is it spring loaded to return?

It is basically a pivot hinge. The weight of the door rests on the bottom hardware. There is a small steel ball bearing on the top of the short post. Be careful because it might drop out. The cap that goes in the bottom of the door sits on the ball bearing. The door can swing more than 180 degrees depending on what you are using it for. It is NOT spring loaded. It moves freely. If you are thinking about using for a kitchen door like in a restaurant, it not for that. I used it for a bifold door. I hope this helps you.
