The Cantilever umbrella base from the Hanover Outdoor Furniture is made to securely hold the Cantilever line of outdoor umbrellas. Made out of plastic with a hollow interior, set-up is easy. Simply chose the location of where you want your Cantilever and fill up the base with water to support the weight and angle of the umbrella. Make sure the base is set in the exact location of where you want the umbrella displayed prior to filling it up. Filling the base with wet sand provides the best support for heavier umbrellas, however, it is not recommended for those who wish to frequently relocate the Cantilever as it becomes much heavier to move and more difficult to empty.

I ordered this for a Cantilever umbrella and this base wasn't nearly heavy enough to support it although it's advertised to support this type of umbrella. So glad I filled it with water instead of sand because I returned it the next day. Even water was difficult to remove. Not well made for the money.

The base is cheaply constructed, looks ugly, and very expensive. Especially considering how expensive the umbrella is that goes with it.

Broken Hanover umbrella base
I am not satisfied with the Hanover offset umbrella. The reason why this is product is not satisfactory is because it was broken, there was a 3 inch crack on the corner so when I filled it up with water it leaked.
