Bottom line: I like this mirror. But there are more than a dozen similar products from different manufacturers and it's easy to think they are all alike, so read the details carefully before ordering. I think I got cross-eyed from reading all the reviews. I am very near-sighted so wanted the highest magnification I could get. It appeared to me the ones offering a 10x option were just stick-ons and I worried they would be hard to store, easy to lose, etc. So I went with the only one I could find that had a 7x option. Many others talked about a full 360-degree rotation, so you could put the bottom on the top. This one doesn't have that and I wish it did. I use the 7x for eye-makeup and have to bend down to use it, as it's the smallest of the four mirrors here. The lights are fine for me - I saw others saying they were too bright or too dim. They aren't Hollywood bright, but bright enough for me. They are brighter if you actually plug the mirror in rather than rely on battery. That's the other point I missed in looking at options. It said it came with a USB plug, and iPhone addict that I am, I assumed that meant I could charge the mirror overnight and have battery in the day. My mistake. It does say there is no energy storage. You're either plugged in or you use your own batteries. I don't think it's a good option for travel (unless you have a giant suitcase) due to size, but others appear to travel with it. I do think it's great for counter-top, light-weight enough to easily pick up and use with your wall mirror to check the back of your hair. (Another advantage of being on battery rather than plugged in.) I know you have a lot of options for a product like this and hope my thoughts help you decide.

Love how easy it is to use, lights are perfect and side magnified mirrors are soooo useful. Best of all it does not take too much space and it portable! I even use it as additional lighting to my ring light during video calls.
