Q: Can you disarm it from outside the door?

It has a decent range. I would guess you could disarm it from 50'+. I do not think a standard wooden or metal door would be an obstruction.

Q: How loud is the alarm?

It is unbearably LOUD!!!!!! It hurts my ears when the alarm goes off and the doorbell is way too loud for an apartment. Probably perfect for a house but stupid loud for an apartment 😄

Q: How far away can the remote be to activate or deactivate the alarm? I wonder if it will reach through floor frm downstair to room directly upstairs?

Shouldn't be a problem, I live in a Red-Brick house w/ SOLID METAL doors, and I can set it (on), Dis-arm (turn off), and sound-off (panic mode) from outside the house, almost a half of a block away. So you really should not have a problem at all. Hope that information helps ! :)

Q: Can a remote be programmed to work simultaneously on multiple machines?

Yes. I purchased 4 of these for use on all exterior doors. Each device/machine can be connected to 8 remotes (per instructions on box). I have 2 remotes (one upstairs and one downstairs) that control all 4 Alarms.
