I am just starting my canning career. I have a new electric canner, and most of the supplies I need, and am anxious to get going. What I did not have were many of the small, useful accoutrements that make canning much easier. A jar lifter, funnels, sponge stick, brushes, etc. I saw this set at an extremely good price and ordered it. I am very glad that I did. The pieces are all very good quality, even though the price was low. The jar lifter and the funnels are sturdy and stable. The brushes and sponge stick will be very helpful in cleaning jars and other tools. So far, I cannot think of anything else I need, this set was that complete. I am delighted to have it. If you are a beginner canner, or if you are a tightwad (I am both), give this set a try. If literally has everything you need--and I have watched a LOT of canning videos to make sure that I start out with what is needed. It would also make a great gift for someone who is a beginner canner. It is very complete, the items are sturdy and of very good quality, and the price was very low. I am truly delighted to have it.

This works great for canning my homemade jams. Everything as described and easy to use

The first time I used the lid lifter the magnet came out of the holder. I am not returning because I like the remaining items.
