IBELL Electric Hand Planer EP82-58, 580W, Copper Armature, 16500 RPM, Planing Width 82 mm

I bought this power planer to help with finishing a table that I’m building. Prior to this I had only a small hand planer for tackling this sort of job. I quickly learned that wouldn’t give me the sort of finish that I wanted. I found it was hard to control for long sweeps and do a smooth, even job. I don’t do a lot of woodworking, so I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a tool that I wasn’t sure how often I would use. After using it and seeing how easily it can shave off a controlled amount of material, I can see a handful of other uses for it around the house.I was able to figure out the basics by watching videos since this planer has similar features operates much the same as other name brand planers.It has a comfortable, economic feel to it and can easily be controlled either left or right handed.Overall I was impressed with the operation and it feels like a good quality tool for the price. It certainly makes quick and easy work of planing a large surface and does a nice, uniform job if you do several thinner passes. I would recommend it to others who are looking for a powerful tool and not wanting to invest a lot of money into it.

Nice. Depth control is very smooth. Motor is quite and powerful. But heats too much even on no-load. Air blow is strong to blow away chipping. A Blade sharpening attachment and a wrench to remove Blade is included.Blade quality is good. Side Rebetting guide is included. Center grooving is not possible unless some different type of blade profile is used. Availability of such blade profiles is doubtful. Supplier should think about it. User manual is useful.

I'm a home user, not a pro. It works great for use around my home. It is pretty light and easy to move around. I had to plane the top of the door that was sticking, and it took just a few seconds to shave off some wood and leave smooth surface. The controls are fairly intuitive and easy to operate. The blade is very sharp and works effectively, mind the blade. I am impressed with the quality and expect it to last a long time.
