Q: Is it very loud if it’s in the bedroom?

It is not ear-splitting loud. One of ours is in the attached garage, and you only barely hear it in the next room.

It has a self-contained rechargeable battery. The unit is small and the audible alarm is not very loud. It only alerts a person in the same room. It is a minimalist solution for notification of power outage. I have one unit plugged in at my refrigerator, and second in my bedroom.
