Pictureka Flipper Game

I saw this at my boyfriend's grandson's house. He said it was "old" because it belonged to his sister. Wasn't sure I could get it for my grandchildren. Yea! Amazon to the rescue! This is so cute and we have so much fun. Surprisingly, it's the 4 year that usually beats us - fair and square!

This toy is not hard to use, and it is entertaining to watch. But it is also not all that fun to use, and the six times or so we've played it, everyone gets bored after about 20 minutes. We found that we needed to have one person just to play the role of the "moderator" -- the person who watches for when the light changes, calls out the new category, and verifies whether player choices match the category being played. Trying to meet these functions while being a player just didn't work. Definitely need to play in a larger surface area, probably on a soft surface such as carpeted floor or bed since cards will go flying off a table and scatter across a hard-surface floor. So, not a bad toy, but purchase it on sale. You'll have a good time for $12 but feel ripped off if bought at premium price near $30.00

This is a fun game, especially if you are a penguin lover. I think it would be more fun with more people, we played with 3 people and the cards did go flying across the table, which in itself was amusing. It was fast passed & fun, but it's not a game I wanted to sit and play for a really long time. I think if a lot of people played it may be more fun. Over all it was fun, and I am glad I bought it.

FUN game!!! We have spent hours playing this game and it's new every time! From my 4-year old to Gramma, everyone loves it. Fast-paced, quick to play, everything stores neatly inside the iceberg, penguin is cute, interesting things on the cards..... only thing that would maybe make it better would be more "command cards" of things to look for, but it really does have plenty! FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

I rarely leave reviews like this, as I am throwing this away I decided to come back to vent my frustration at what a worthless pile of junk this is. Saw the reviews that said the penguin 'dealer' didn't work properly - disregarded them as people not reading instructions or something. Nope. The penguin does not work. Never worked. Doesn't appear to be something that could possibly work in the theoretical realm. Completely worthless. Unless you can get this for less than the cost of a plain deck of Pictureka cards - don't. Cause that's actually all you get when you buy this...a deck of cards and a worthless pile of junk that will cause frustration and disappointment.

Was son was very happy to receive this for Christmas and we have all had fun playing it. We try to have "game night" at least once a week, and this game has been added into our rotation of games. Very fun for the whole family.

I bought this product for my daughter as a Christmas pressie. She absolutely loves it.

This game is quite funny to play, but they could have included more category cards. Just notice that you need to play on a carpet, rug or blanket or cards will fly away very far!
