Great book for grandson Christmas gift.

I was looking for first readers and this turned out to be great. If you have a toddler that is ready to read this will help them a great deal and give them the confidence to try on their own. I would totally recommend this as it is nice to see my child smile when she does it by herself.

I bought these for my niece's 4th birthday. She is just starting to read on her own, here and there, so I thought I'd get her something that was a bit above the baby/toddler book level. I saw the Pete the Cat books and though he was very cute and the stories seemed fun. I know that when my niece likes something, she's going to want to use (or in this case, read) that item over and over. This means re-reading the same books for my sister and brother-in-law. These books look fun and amusing even for the adults. My niece is already obsessed with them and is working on reading them with her parents.I also love how affordable these books are. Even the single, soft-cover books are very low in price, which I think is so important for a book that will be lightly (or heavily) abused if you're giving them to children of a young age. They are also light, thin, and portable, especially with the case that this set comes in. I would highly recommend these.

My great grand loves Pete. They were excited to dump the books out. Look the covers over carefully and get very excited because there was a box to play with, too. Any Pete book brings joy.

This is an absolutely wonderful set of books for any small child, especially if they love cats. We have had this set for about seven months and the carrying case and the books have held up well.When I bought them for my daughter she was in first grade and was able to read them all with little difficulty, there are a few larger words that she stumbled on, but they have been great for nightly reading and to practice reading. She loves cats and loves Pete the Cat. For at least a month straight this set of books went everywhere with us.Each story is different and is entertaining to read, even I was entertained. This set comes with five level one reading books, each a different entertaining story. Plus the illustrations are done very well.This set makes a great gift for any child and my daughter loves them. They are still read regularly and are a part of her personal library.

We love Pete the Cat books. My grandson started with Pete the kitty and has moved up. He sits and reads them during his quiet time when he's at my house. He started reading them when he was 4y/o. Fun and engaging. I really like the science ones. We live near a beach so he can relate to that book.

If your kids are learning to read, this book series is perfect for them. My son can almost read each book by himself and he’s just beginning to learn to read.
