Torrey Pines Logic T12-W 3X Mini Thermal Imager,12.5 Degree FOV,30hz,Black TP-T12W-05

I bought the T12W. Be aware, it has a very very small screen. like only 1/2 inch by 1/2 inch. However, if you think your going to mount this on a rifle and actually try to hunt with it, so are so wasting your time. BUT, if you mount it on a shotgun, I put mine on a FN12 police tactical, and I use 3" #4 buckshot, there is not a critter out there that can get away from you out to about 100 yards. I can easily detect rabbits 75 yards away in tall grass, larger animals even easier further away. the size of the screen in low light and complete dark is actually better when i'm hunting with a pvs14, so it doesn't interfere with my night vision optics. we identify with night vision, put heat source on sight, pull trigger. had to add an elevator to get it above sights, but overall, it was exactly what I needed for a shotgun. all of the other models would probably be worthless for actual hunting scenero, either cannot detect far enough, or too slow a refresh rate. this one is just right. it has held up remarkably through several punishing hunts and at least 20 boxes of buckshot. it appears rugged.

I was considering giving this product 3 starts but i went with 4. The main reason i did not like it was that it just did not work well inside of my house. I am not sure if it was due to the air conditioning and overall similarity of surface temperatures but there was simply no detail seen inside of my home. Now outside was a vastly different story. Outside this thermal sight was every bit as cool as it claims. The visible detail was phenominal and made searches around buildings easy at night without drawing attention to where you are. Overal...5 stars outside...3 stars inside small buildings such as houses.

Screen too small and imaging pretty narrow range and useless

This unit washes out in most conditions to the point that the screen is all white with no definition. Virtually impossible to use.

When the unit is in proper repair and properly calibrated and zeroed, it is a great offset addition to an AR for anti-pig operations. My T12-05 has taken over ten hogs in the dark no problem.I’ve used it offset on my AR and my PTR as well as on top of my shotgun on occasion.VERY handy.
