Can this be used with other magnetic blocks?

Hi, my son just received this as a gift and the usb cord doesn’t fit into the rechargeable receiver so it won’t charge. can i replace just this part?

The transmitter/receiver/motos do not move the wheels per instructions. Anyone else have trouble getting their designs to actually move?

I've tried to call & email to get a replacement part for the rechargeable receiver that arrived broken and cannot get a hold of anyone. Can you help?
