Laminated Bangkok Map by Borch (English Edition)

I carried it around in a map pocket of my shoulder bag, which was the perfect size. I like laminated maps because I can fold them in with any panel facing out. This map was very useful for public transportation, since it has BRT/MRT (rapid transit rail) as well as the river ferry piers and routes. Since we have returned from our trip, I've let my 6 yr old son take this map around to show everyone all the places we went to and how we got everywhere. And I'm sure it will survive until our next trip to Bangkok.

Have used this map over my last five trips to BKK. It's just the best map of Bangkok there is. Stands up to the heat, spills, and constant use. Legible, easy to use. Don't waste your money on others if you can get ahold of this map.

going to PP weekend market

The map was very detailed. It showed more tourist sites than any map available from Fodor's, Friendly Planet or DK. It also listed the public transport (BTS, MRT & River Ferry Ports).

I like the map but it is -- probably necessarily -- a bit too fine print on the overall Bangkok map. The reverse side of the map has an enlargement of the central area of Bangkok and it is much more legible. I like the coating of the map, it seems that it will be very durable based on similar maps I have used for travel. Maybe a map of the same material in a "booklet" form with a few more pages would be the answer to my dreams. But this is overall a good map.

We bought this map to use on our vacation in Thailand. It has all of the streets on it, however, it's printed in such a way that it's difficult to read. We ended up using the maps they give to tourists, and the GPS on our phone instead of this map.

this is a must to have when you are going to take a taxi in bangkok. just show the driver where you want to go. no language barrier!
