Q: I have a prosthetic will this work with it

Depending on where the gasket will need to go (above the knee on skin), it should work the same as if you were protecting a cast. If the prosthetic is at your your knee and/or below, before you use it in the shower, I would make sure you are comfortable with the level of traction you have. With casts, the general idea is that you are not putting pressure on the broken foot/leg, so you have already compensated by either sitting in a shower chair or using rails. If you are standing using the prosthetic, I would be extra sure you have enough traction or a bar to hold on to during your shower. Good luck!

Hello, Thats a tough question. My leg was broken lower so this worked fine for me. I wonder if you can find a longer one, even in a much larger size might work. I wonder if there is a water tight wrap that can go on above this cover or under it? Just to give you more protection. Not sure this helped but its all I have. Good luck!

Q: I have very hairy legs; will the seal stay waterproof?

I believe it will stay waterproof. I see no reason for hair to cause the seal to loosen, the elastic blue top will enclose and cling tightly to the skin. It has a tightly fitting seal, (not so tight it hurts, but a very secure seal). There is no stickiness to the seal, no special cleaning of the the skin or shaving the hair, just a lot of elasticity that securely surrounds the circumference of the leg.

It leaks

I was hopeful this item would provide watertight integrity but when I remove the boot after a shower, it is obvious that a small amount of water has gotten inside.

Too tight to go over the cast

The leg cover is too tight to go over the cast and was short (a bit above the knee for a 6ft3 individual) so I couldn't use it.Tried it on the other leg and the seal is way too tight, stops the blood circulation - but I guess it is intended so for waterproofness.
