Excellent System!
I am delighted with this system! It looks terrific and provides a very flexible solution for getting things off the garage floor and up on the wall. I was initially disappointed that the system wasn’t a single piece as the images suggested it might be. It is, of course, individual section pieces that then require much more time to attach to the wall. But after handling the individual extrusions it’s clear that a single piece would have been heavy and unwieldy to handle. And once you get the bottom and side rails in place it’s easy to stack the actual panels and screw them into wall studs (NOT drywall anchors!!). It’s anyway a one-time effort but the results are beautiful and functional, and will last for several lifetimes. Not cheap, but worth the money!

Can't wait to cover the next wall floor to ceiling!
I purchased the Proslat wall three weeks ago. I read ALL the reviews. Thanks to everyone who wrote one. I appreciate the tools to make an informed decision. Normally, I wait longer to write a review....just to make sure the product doesn't disappoint down the road. I don't feel a need to wait on this purchase. This wall is "rock solid", beautiful, well made....pick a positive adjective...that's how I feel. I was leery about too much weight after the bicycle review, but I had no plans to hang anything heavier than 30 pounds and had plenty of space for weight dispersal. After installing the wall I am confident it could handle much more than I have to challenge it. Shipping was on time and well packaged. The slats arrived in excellent condition. I watched the YouTube video several times and read the directions as well. The installation was easy and straightforward. (Make sure to wait for the click when you seat one panel into another. A tiny pound with my fist was all it took to seat it and I didn't doubt when it happened. Thanks to another reviewer's tip to pay attention to that!) I spent more time on the installation than most others who have reviewed this item. I am a bit of a perfectionist so I spent quite a bit of time "mapping" the area, locating studs and drawing level lines as guides. I took my time, working on it intermittently, but I would guess we spent a total of two hours putting it up. The screws provided were perfectly adequate (zero issues), the bit for the drill was very handy but did start wearing toward the end. Take a tip from my brilliant husband on the bit....he carefully filed off the very end with a metal file and voila, a fresh bit. I love this slatwall and am planning to do another (floor to ceiling next time) in a few months. Update Several months later I am still thrilled with this purchase. I’ve added additional items and the wall is still as solid as a rock.

Love this wall!
Used this to organize my garage and I love it! Love the charcoal gray color and the durability! It's pricey, but I should get alot of use out of it! It can scuff easy so it pays to be careful while installing but otherwise looks great and works great! It does take other slatwall accessories but it can't be store brand stuff like kobalt. If you buy name brand it has to be pro slat. The major issue with this is that it doesn't have a grove on the top and bottom like standard slatwall for the accessories to hook into, just a top grove. Because of this I had to cut my anchors I used for slatwall mounting flat on one side for the flat bottom, they worked and are holding everything, just was an unexpected step I had to take.

Functional, easy to install, looks good, though not quite seamless. Expensive hooks.
Overall, I think it is a fair value, when comparing different product options. Installing is pretty straightforward. Just have to take your time, use a studfinder to find and mark the studs, make sure to check for live wires in the wall and mark those, establish a level line and fasten it to every stud. The plastic material was a bit thinner and lighter than I had hoped, but will suffice for a garage wall to hang powertools and garden tools on that do not get used all that frequently. A couple panels had scuff marks from however they were handled in the factory, and one had a chipped corner, but I needed to trim down all pieces to less than 8 feet, so that was not an issue. The end result is not as a seamless as shown in the pictures. At eye level and above you can see how the two panels meet. Double triple checked the install and watched the video. Still looks clean & neat. Just not super clean. The panels do attract some dust in the garage, like a plastic static charged item. The biggest downside I'd say is the cost of the custom brackets. They charge top dollar for every single item, and when you order the big hooks and small pegs combo pack; they're all just loose thrown into a brown box and get scraped up a little during handling and transport. All in all pleased with the flexibility and result. The big hooks are quite sturdy, and they have an adjustable locking tab with thumb screw on the bottom, which was a safety consideration in my purchase. That way the hook is locked in place at top and bottom, and doesn't jump off (accidentally) when you are trying to lift an time off of a hook and fall to the ground, perhaps damaging or breaking a stored item lower down, ding a car, injure a child reaching for a sports item, ...

I put this up in my laundry room to hang brooms, mops, spray bottles and misc. items. It works wonderfully - very tidy. One suggestion - before you install the panels give them a dip in a tub of water with a bit of fabric softener. They are very statically charged and cleaning the grooves of lint hair etc... is a challenge once installed.
