OBSESSED with this pen
I haven’t written an Amazon review in ages but am compelled to write one about this pen. I write a lot, primarily notes; I work in the legal profession and am a student. I used to favor the Pilot V Ball Grip for its size and weight (my handwriting is worse with skinner/lighter pens) and slight cushioning, but would sometimes get annoyed by the cap, leaking, and smudging. I tried the Schneider Slider Rage XB when I was testing different pens at McNally Jackson and found it to be the perfect pen for me. Perfect weight and girth, the ink doesn’t smudge, and I don’t have to worry about a cap (or in my experience to date, leaking). They’re pricey for appearing to be a “disposable” pen but they’re actually refillable, so I don’t feel guilty for buying them.

Greatest pen ever
I’m a semi retired physician who never switched to electronic medical records meaning I write copious notes in patients charts for over 30 years. Back in the day when big Pharma was allowed to try to bribe doctors with free pens I never had to buy pens but I also have written with hundreds of different pens, some cheap, some very high quality. When the rules changed such that the pharmaceutical companies could attempt bribery anymore I had to purchase pens but that meant I tried even more different pens, some cheaper, some expensive. I realized I became a pen snob. When I needed to buy some more pens Office Max had one Schneider pen available. At the price I defied the store policy of don’t open the package because if I can’t try it I won’t buy it. I was blown away. It was almost an out of body experience. You have to be a pen snob to understand this. From that moment forward I have written only with the Slider Rave XB in black. I have purchased probably a dozen packs of 5 over the years and I have them everywhere at the office, at home, I’m my purse and my office staff used them too. Some reviews say they run out of ink too fast. If you bought through Amazon you may have gotten a knock off. Amazon is well known for allowing this practice. I’ve been using only these pens for over a decade and only have purchased a dozen pens but was writing all day every day and I have only used 2 refills of the package I bought. You have to consider the life of the item with the cost because cheaper pens run dry way quicker. Some people say they leave blots and o think those are knock offs. How can the same pen provide such different experiences? Mostly all 5 star reviews then a one star because it’s too expensive or it ran dry. I think my decades of writing with hundreds of different pens then 5x12=60 pens that an entire office staff used and I wrote with exclusively and I write copious notes. 60 pens used 5-6 days a week at the office and 7 days a week at home over 10 years abd I’ve only had to refill 2 pens? This is the best pen. It’s my dream pen and all the 5 star reviews are accurate. If you think a Bic pen is equal in quality perhaps you don’t have an appreciation of tactile experiences. If they’ve run dry quickly you’ve gotten a knock off. I buy only from the Schneider store itself. Not from Amazon. And, I support this company because it is so environmentally forward and have philosophies that most companies don’t have. They walk the walk. Employing special needs people to package the pens is proof. The technology is typical top notch German technology.I will always support this company and will never write with any other pen to the end of my life. That’s how great they are.

These. Are. AMAZING.
I have a pen addiction, freely admitted. I also have arthritis and carpal tunnel with an unsuccessful surgery to prove it.Needless to say no matter what I write with, how I hold the pen, whatever kind of pen it is or what I do, I always have pain. I always have cramping.I simply ordered these because I like the rubberized finish on pens. It makes them easier to hold, but I was not holding out for any kind of great results for anything. I expected nothing. Nothing ever helps me….except THESE!!!!!!Now granted, these are not a miracle cure for hand problems, BUT I did catch myself writing longer and with less hand fatigue than anything I have tried, and folks, I’ve tried them all. Grippy, non-grippy, fat, contoured, heavy, skinny…EV-ERY-THING.I actually kind of surprised myself when I got to the bottom of a full sheet of paper, and my writing was legible, it all looked the same, and I had miraculously written an entire page with very little discomfort. That hasn’t happened in a very, very long time. The ink is so unbelievably smooth. Almost no friction on paper at all. You would almost not believe the pen was touching the paper, unless you looked to make sure you were leaving a line behind.I purchased these in June and decided to wait until October to write this review in case the effects wore off. They didn’t. As I type this, I have now added six more 5 count packages to my cart. Granted, that’s a lot of money, but now that I found something that works, I have to make sure that I have a supply. It seems like companies change designs all the time. I can’t afford to lose this.If you decide to buy these, I hope you have the most amazing results like I did. If you are in the same boat, as I am, you understand how terrible it is. Watching other people write constantly page after page, and me not being able to get through a few lines without shaking my hands. Well, that’s not me anymore and I hope it works for you.

Super smooth
I picked up a Schneider pen from some random source and I loved the way it wrote. It was a version with a removable cap which made it less convenient. So I ordered these ballpoint versions and they are awesome. They make writing so much more enjoyable. They aren’t the cheapest alternative, but they are worth the money.
